People's War Audio Release
The audio of R Narayana Murthy’s ‘People’s War’ was released on May 22nd. The film is based on ‘Sompeta’ movement with Srihari, Posani Krishna Murali and R Narayana Murthy in central roles. Srihari released the first audio CD and presented it to MLA Sairaj. Other guests in the audio function are R Narayana Murthy, Posani Krishna Murali, Gorati Venkanna, Dr Krishna Murthy and Kota Shankar Rao. Besides them the Sompeta agitators also participated in the audio release function.
Addressing the gathering Srihari said, “I’v e been planning to do a film with R Narayana Murthy for quite long time. I’m very happy to say that I got the opportunity to do a good film even though it’s a bit late. It’s appreciable that the director got the idea to make a film on the backdrop of ‘Sompeta’ and Kakarlapalli movements. I wish this film to become a grand success.”
Posani Krishna Murali said, “R Narayana Murthy is the only man who makes films for people’s welfare. He always chooses the real life incidents as the basic plot and makes movies out of it. He never bothers about his films being hit or flop. His main aim is to pass on a good message to the society. I wish ‘People’s War’ to become a big hit.”
R Narayana Murthy said, “People’s War tells about why the Sompeta and Kakarlapalli people started their agitation. Our main aim is to answer to those who are trying to establish coal-based power plants illegally. The agitators are the heroes of this film and the central and state governments are villains. Music rendered by Vandemataram Srinivas Rao is fantastic. Srihari played a pivotal role. I thank each and every one who worked for this film. I hope the film will become a big hit.”
Lyrics for the songs are written by Gorati Venkanna, Suddala Ashok Teja and Jayaraj; story, dubbing, dialogues, music, production and direction is by R Narayana Murthy.
