The axe (goddali), used by Ran Charan in ‘Racha’ is to be auctioned by Movie Artists Association (MAA). This has been confirmed by one of the MAA Committee members Siva Krishna in a press meet held at Hyderabad Film Chamber today. Siva Krishna said, “Like we auctioned the weapons used in hit movies earlier, this time also we are going to auction the axe used by Ram Charan in ‘Racha’. So far we have used the auction money for the medical purpose of the poor. Similarly we will use this amount also for the same purpose. This year’s winner of the auction will receive the axe from Ram Charan. In 2010-2011 we have used Rs 1,60,000/- for the welfare of the needy in the Telugu film industry. And in 2011-2012, we have used Rs 2,00,000/-. I thank all the director and producers who are helping the Movie Artists Association.”

Actress Tamanna said, “I’m very impressed with this programme organised by Movie Artists Association. Henceforth I want to contribute something from my behalf too for this programme. I feel it’s our responsibility to support the needy people in the film industry.”
