Nani’s new movie ‘Jandapai Kapiraju’ costarring Amala Paul was launched at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad on August 1st, 2012. Dr Dasari Narayana Rao sounded the clap board and directed the muhurat shot while R B Chowdary switched on the camera. P Samuthirakani of ‘Shambo Shiva Shambo’ is going to direct the film. K S Srinivas will produce it under Vassan Visual Ventures banner.

Later in the press meet Nani said, “Samuthirakani is one of my favourite directors. I’m very happy to get the opportunity to work with all my favourite directors. ‘Jandapai Kapiraju’ is the symbol of Victory and War. This movie is about the war against sin that tells if the bad in us is killed it will be vanished in the entire world by default. My character in this film is very challenging when compared to the ones I played in my earlier films. We will start the regular shooting shortly.”

Director Samuthirakani said, “This is my 3rd film as director and 2nd straight film in Telugu. ‘Jandapai Kapiraju’ depicts the problems in day-to-day life in the society. The concept of the film is world will be perfect if we are correct ourselves. This movie will give a good message to the society.”

Producer S Srinivasan said, “Our director narrated a good message oriented story. We are happy to get good artists and technicians for the film. We will begin regular shooting in September in Goa with the shooting of songs and will shoot the remaining part of the film in Hyderabad and Vizag.”

Dialogue Writer Sashank Vennelakanti and music director G V Prakash Kumar also spoke in the press meet.
