The 2011 Mirchi Music Awards on Saturday, 18th August, 2012 was a grand gala event in Hyderabad. While SS Thaman won the album of the year award for ‘Dookudu’, music director Koti was honoured with Life Time Achievement Award. Tollywood’s top personalities like K Raghavendra Rao, Allu Aravind, Nagarjuna and Venkatesh honoured Koti by presenting the prestigious award.

Later addressing the gathering Koti said, “Raj and I entered the film industry at the same time and worked together for many films. Hence Raj equally deserves this award. I initially worked as an assistant to music director Chakravarthy. The lessons learned from him has brought me to this stage.”

Venkatesh commented, “Koti rendered music for my hit films like ‘Intlo Illalu Vantintlo Priyuralu’, ‘Nuvvu Naaku Nachchav’, ‘Malleeswari’ and many more which entertained the audience.”

Nagarjuna said that his favourite song among all songs in his films composed by Koti is ‘Priya Ragale…’ from ‘Hello Brother’.

Other prominent guests who came for the glitzy event were D Suresh Babu, Sekhar Kammula, Mani Sharma, R P PATnaik, Ramana Gogula, S A Raj Kumar, Raghu Kunche, Anirudh, Sivamani, Usha Uttup, Khushboo, Manchu Lakshmi Prasanna and others.
