Glamour queen Simran, who ruled the roost from 1997 to 2002 in Telugu and Tamil, could not repeat the magic in her 2nd innings which she started after her marriage. The actress is now planning to introduce her handsome husband Deepak as hero, hence she is planning to turn producer and make a movie under her own production house Arigem Movies Pvt Ltd.

Recently when she attended a film launching function of ‘Thedire Nagaril Oru Kadhal Kana’, she revealed to the media that she is settling down in Chennai permanently for which she has built a house at Uthandi and also moved there on Deepavali day. She announced that she has now become a Chennaite. Regarding her first production venture with her husband as hero, she said that talks are going on and the details of it will be announced shortly. “I’ll be producing movies as well as TV serials. Regarding this, I’m discussing with few directors and also listening to stories”, she said.
