Ayodhya city in RFC for Sri Ramarajyam

Balakrishna’s latest flick ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ with Nayantara, Akkineni Nageswara Rao Srikanth and Sai Kumar as his co-stars has completed its 1st schedule of shooting. This is a devotional film based on an episode (after Rama becomes the King of Ayodhya) from the epic Ramayana. Right now sets related to the Ayodhya kingdom like Darbar, Ekanta Mandiram, Kausalya Mandiram, Raja Prasadam and Ayodhya town are being constructed at Ramoji Film City.

Senior director Bapu is wielding this megaphone that is being produced by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana. While Balakrishna is portraying the role of Sreerama, Nayantara is playing Sita Devi, Akkineni Nageswara Rao as Valmiki, Srikanth as Lakshmana and Sai Kumar as Bharath. According to producer, the scenes related to Lakshmana leaving Sita in a forest as commanded by Rama, Valmiki giving her the protection by keeping her in his Ashram and the birth of Lava-Kusa have been filmed so far.

The highlight of this film is the 10 minute song that describes the story of Ramayan from the birth of Sreerama to the death of Ravana. This song will be canned in the next schedule that would take place in March. Music maestro Ilayaraja is composing the tunes. Other prominent star cast is Murali Mohan, Jaya Sudha, KR Vijaya, Vindhu Dhara Singh, Naagineedu, Brahmanandam, Jhansi, etc. The movie is expected to release in June.
