Bommakanti Madhavi under the banner Madhavi Art Productions had launched the new film 'Adugu' with new star cast in Annapurna Studios. Neelam Veera Prasad is directing this flick and Samarendra and Richa Soni are debuting as hero and heroine through this film. Director Sreenu Vaitla graced the event of the muhurat as the Chief Guest. While Bommakanti Sudhir Babu who is presenting this film sounded the clap, producer Bommakanti Madhavi switched on the camera and the director Neelam Veera Prasad himself directed the muhurat shot.

Speaking on the occassion Producer Madhavi said that it was her dream to produce a good film and her dream would be fulfilled through this film. This film will shoot in Hyderabad and Vizag locations.

Director Neelam said that though this film is a family based subject it also gives lot of values to the social causes also. Rao Gopal Rao's son Rao Ramesh is acting in this film, besides Suman is doing a very important role.

Hero Samarendra said, "I was an employ in ICICI bank. I resigned my job after I got selected to act in this film."
