In a market where everything means money the title of the film certainly means a lot. Recently we have come across a spat over the ownership of title ‘Khaleja’ which later became ‘Mahesh Khaleja’. But this incidence has opened eyes of the Film Chamber as we could see their verdict from yet another similar incidence.

‘Katti’ is a title registered by DVV Danayya. Whereas Kalyan Ram liked the title wanted to keep it for his new movie. Though the title ‘Katti’ was in the air for quite some time the original owner of the title Danayya suddenly woke up and raised objection. This forced Kalyan Ram to change the title to ‘Kalyan Ram Katti’ only to get reprimanded by the Film Chamber to refrain from such hijacking practices. So hence forth as per the new directives from Film Chamber there will not be titles for the movies which are sounding similar to the registered ones putting an end to the hijacking for titles forever. Well, it’s now Kalyan Ram’s responsibility to search another one.
