Kingdom has blessed me with the maximum reach: Actor Satyadev

For Satyadev, Kingdom is a game-changer. Although Bluff Master did offer him a chance to become a star in 2018, it didn't quite reach the mass audience. In his latest interview, the Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya talent thanks Kingdom for bestowing him with the max eyeballs. He also talks about several other experiences in this chit-chat with the media.

Never before have I received so much applause in my career. My industry colleagues and seniors appreciating me personally feels great. Playing Shiva in Kingdom was a no-brainer to me. I embraced the offer as soon as director Gowtam Tinnanuri gave a narration. No performance works in isolation. The character has to be well-etched, too. Gowtam's writing made a lot of difference. His writing took my performance to another level.

Kingdom is a big-scale movie. Also, Vijay Deverakonda is extremely popular. This dimension has helped my performance receive so much praise. Doing the role was nothing short of destiny. Gowtam had me in his mind while writing the script. He had to try a few other actors before approaching me again just before Kingdom went on the floors.

Vijay is a wonderful person. I developed a chemistry with me right during our first meeting. Producer S Naga Vamsi garu is a man of guts. Thanks to his decisions and vision, Sithara Entertainments has gone places.

The action in Kingdom leaves so much impact because emotional intensity undergirds it. When you get the drama right, every punch lands differently! It also helps that Vijay understands the full import of each emotional beat.

Physically, to me, the pre-climax episode was the most challenging one. On the general performance level, though, one of the prison sequences was the most challenging. The boat sequence was a nervous one to shoot for, given I don't know how to row a boat. Vijay reposed faith in me and jumped into the scene. We even had a couple of near-misses; we hit tree branches, we almost crashed. It took some deal of practising to get the rowing right.

On the film front, Full Bottle is up for release soon. On the OTT front, Arabian Kadali, a web series I worked on, will begin streaming on Amazon Prime starting August 8.

I am reuniting with director Venkatesh Maha. There is also an assignment with director Ajay Nag. Two other films are in the pipeline.
