The first song from Rakshith and Swathi starrer ‘London Babulu’ has been released by the director Harish Shankar on the occasion of Independence Day. Tammareddy Bhardwaja has launched the special teaser. The film has music by K. ‘London Babulu’ is the Telugu remake of Tamil super hit film ‘Aandavan Kattalai’. Prominent director and producer Maruthi is producing this film with AVS Studios as presenter. Chinni Krishna is the director. Swathi Reddy is playing the female lead.
Harish Shankar said, “Cinema shows the life in big, whereas TV presents it in small. But, stage show presents it perfectly. The teaser and songs of ‘London Babulu’ reminds me of my days when I was working for stage shows. Thanks to the director Chinni Krishna for reminding my good old days. Swathi has picked this script means it will definitely be a good one. Despite being new to acting, hero Rakshith has given wonderful performance as an experienced actor. His name is Gandhi in this films. Chiranjeevi garu’s name was Gandhi in the film ‘Challenge’. Producer Maruthi garu is an inspiration to me. Telugu film industry needs new concept films and so that new artists and technicians shows interest in entering into the film industry. I wish the film will become big success.”
On this occasion, Tammareddy Bhardwaja said, “The characters in the film and the design of the characters are looking fresh. Teaser and songs are very impressive.”
Maruthi said, “It’s a genuine attempt of the director Chnni Krishna and the team. Music and backgrouns score given by K will stand out as big asset for the film. We are planning to release ‘London Babulu’ in the first week of September. The film will earn fame to Rakshith. Sweet Magic Prasad garu was very much impressed by the Tamil super hit film ‘Aandavan Kattalai’ and asked me to watch it. Vijay Sethupathi has done the film with great passion. Prasad garu is a genuine person. I wish ‘London Babulu’ will stand out as a best film in his career. There is a good writer and director in Swathi. We felt very happy when she liked the script and accepted to act in this. I was very much impressed by the film. I wish the film will stand out as a good film for Chinni Krishna.”
Addressing the gathering, director Chinni Krishna said, “I have been away from the films for some time and staying in Vizag. I am thankful to Maruthi garu for bringing me back and giving me the wonderful opportunity. Nikhil has given me ‘Veedu Theda’ by just listening to 1/4th story. I am very happy that Rakshith is being introduced as hero.”
