The audio of Chiranjeevi's much awaited film Stalin, co- starring Trisha, was released at a mega event held at the Laitha Kala Thoranam on 22nd August, and was attended by a huge throng of Chiranjeevi's fans who came from all over the state to get a glimpse of their idol and wish him on his birthday. Also present at the event were the cast and crew of Stalin and Chiranjeevi's well wishers from the film industry.
Pawan Kalyan released the audio cassettes and presented the first units to Murali Krishnam Raju of Maa TV and Nimmagadda Prasad of Matrix Labs.
At the end of very a glitzy night, where many artists from the industry performed on stage and showered praises on the Megastar, Chiranjeevi finally took to the mike and began by officially announcing the launch of his son, Ram Charan Teja as an actor. "I have placed the responsibility of launching Ram Charan Teja, as an actor, in the hands of producer Aswini Dutt. Puri Jagannadh will be directing Ram Charan Teja's debut movie for Vyjayanthi banner." he also said that the film will, in all probability be launched in December this year.
As the audio release of Stalin coincided with Chiranjeevi birthday, 22nd August, with every word that the Megastar spoke the audiences' went into frenzy. Chiranjeevi said "Today is a special day for me as it is both my Birthday and also the launch day of Stalin's audio. And on this happy occasion I want to talk about and spread awareness about the need to care for HIV affected children."
Speaking about an incident where a HIV infected kid was ignored by her own grand parents Chiranjeevi said "after listening to what that kid had to face, I decide to dedicate myself to the cause of spreading awareness for the care of such children. I lent my support to the Heroes Project (established by Hollywood actor Richard Gere). I am very happy and proud of my fans who have responded to my efforts on creating awareness and helping HIV/AIDS affected individuals. At one point of time film fans were looked down on but today with the amount of social service my fans are doing I am very proud of them. Today we have around 500 people donating blood at the CCT" Chiranjeevi also thanked his parents and his Kalama Thalli (art) on the occasion.
"Stalin is a thought provoking and yet entertaining movie. It is a very practical film" Chiranjeevi said about his soon to be released Stalin "Director Muruga Doss was inspired to make this movie after he saw the reception I got at the 175 days function of Indra. During the making of Stalin I was reminded of a poem by Gurujada Apparao 'Desamunu Preminchu Manna, Manchiyannadi Penchu manna' . Stalin has mass elements but at the same time it is a very logical movie. Unlike Tagore, which is a thought provoking but an impractical one, Stalin is also a very thought provoking movie but it is practically possible at the same time. So I request my fans to do what ever is possible, within their capabilities, for the betterment of our society. Tisha is a very good looking girl and I had to trim down to match up to her glamour standards. Mani Sharma's music is very good. You have only heard a few of the songs now. But the remaining songs are equally energizing, if not more."
Speaking about the rare appearance of his younger brother at any audio release function, Chiranjeevi said "Pawan Kalyan never comes to any of my audio release functions but he agreed to attend this one on my special request. This year has been very special for me for four reasons. Firstly my daughter got married, and then I was awarded the Padma Bhushan. President Dr. Abdul Kalam visited and inaugurated the new CCT and eye bank and now, very shortly my son will be launched into film. "At the end of the show Chiranjjeevi thanked one and all for the success of the show and mentioned a special thanks to Dharamvarapu Subramanyam for getting government permission to use the Lalitha Kala Thoranam, on such short notice.
