As informed earlier a host of stars attended the triple platinum disc celebrations of Bommarillu held at Shilpa Kala Vedika on 26th August. Other than the seven heroes (NTR, Nitin, Prabhas, Allu Arjun, Siddartha, Venkatesh and Sumanth) heroine Genelia, Jayasudha, Prakash Raj, Producer Dil Raju, Director Bhaskar, Music director Devi Sri Prasad and guests V.V.Vinayak and S.S.Rajamouli were also present on the occasion.
Lapping up all the compliments for the evening was young director Bhaskar "I should appreciate Bhaskar and Dil Raju for the fantastic movie they made. There is lot I can learn from Bhaskar" S.S.Rajamouli said. And echoing his words was V.V.Vinayak "Bommarillu is totally Bhaskar's movie though I should also appreciate Dil Raju for backing him. Siddarth's climax performance is absolutely amazing. Geneelia also has done a very good job". He said.
A beaming Bhaskar said "S.S.Rajamouli was the first celeb to call and congratulate us on our success. I would like to thank producer Dil Raju for the immense amount of trust and faith he had in my work. Siddarth is more of a friend, than an actor, to me. The entire team of Bommarillu did a very good job. Whether it was the amazing music by Devi Sri Prasad, the camera work by Vijay Chakravarthy, dialogues by Abburi Ravi and script by Vasu. Our entire team worked very hard for this film".
Nithin, who was the hero in producer Dil Raju's first film Dil, spoke very ardently of his mentor and congratulated the team of Bommarillu on their success and added that Sirish and Lakshman's contribution to the film, is also unforgettable. Lyricist Chandra Bose expressed his happiness over the success of the film's music.
When actress Jayasudha, who portrayed the role of the hero's mother, said that Siddarth reminded her of Kamal Hassan, Siddarth responded by saying that he was lucky to have got a chance to work with senior and talented actors like Jayasudha, Kota and Parkash Raj "Mahesh Babu, NTR, Prabhas and Nitin called me after watching Bommarillu and appreciated my performance. The credit for that goes to director Bhaskar. My Guru Mani Ratnam once said that every actor should always be an aspiring actor and that is what I intend to follow" Siddarth had the audiences' laughing when he said that it was Geneelia who was the hero of the film and he the heroine.
"Satyam was Geneelia's first straight Telugu film" Satyam hero Sumanth said "her performance in Bommarillu is the highlight of the film. This year has been very good for our Telugu Film Industry as per the quality of films that have been released and the success they have achieved".
Allu Arjun appreciated Devi Sri Prasad's music and complimented Geenelia and Siddarth on their performance "Dil Raju is a very confident producer and that is why he has a such good success rate. Bommarillu completely belongs to director Bhaskar".
Telling that her character Hasini will be remembered for ever, actress Genelia said "Hasini is my dream role. I was able to give my best in this film. I would like to thank Prakash Raj and Siddarth for supporting me during the making of Bommarillu".
"Bommarillu is the most meaningful film that I have seen so far in the seven years of my career in the film Industry." Guest NTR said "I identify with Siddarth's character in Bommarillu. My father and I share the same kind of relationship that Siddarth and Prakash Raj share in this film. The film's climax almost had me tears. 'Nuvvu Gelichavu nana' dialogue is the highlight of the film. Bhaskar is simply amazing and hats off to Dil Raju. Though I worked with Geneelia is a couple of film, when I watched Bommarillu, I wondered if it was the same Genelia that I worked with. Her performance was that good in the film".
Quoting Bommarillu as the best film he had seen in the past 10 years, actor Prakash Raj said that though he had stopped coming to film functions a couple of years ago, he wanted to come to this event so that he could speak about the film "With her amazing performance Geneelia proved that language is not a barrier for acting, if you understand the emotion and are able to express it well. Siddarth is a thorough professional. I know him since his assistant days to Mani Ratnam. He stayed at my place for a week to work on the father-son relationship for this film. Dil Raju is a very good producer. He intends to introduce two more directors to the industry".
"It was Sirish and Lakshman who supported and stood by me during my bad patch following Amrutha film" Producer Dil Raju said "the distribution of Aadi film changed my life. It was V.V.Vinayak who taught me the nuances of film making prior to my film Dil. Bhaskar knows the art of film making and that will lead him to greatness. I would like to thank my family members on this occasion for their love and support".
