Amulyam, a Children Film Society of India production, directed by Akkineni Kutumba Rao was launched on 5th October in Hyderabad. Producer B.Lenin sounded the clap board, while Babu Rao switched on the camera and Bharadawaja directed Suresh, Krishna Sri and Baby Varshini in the first shot.

Speaking at a press meet held there after, director Akkineni Kutumba Rao said that after nearly 40 years Children Film Society of India is producing a film in Telugu.

"This film is mainly about the relationship between a grand mother and her grand daughter and how the old lady tells the kid about the importance of our culture and passes it on to her." Writer Olga said.

The actors of the film also expressed their happiness on being associated with this film.
