Nandamuri Kalyan Ram looks different. With his long hair, he appears in a new getup for his new film for Sai Sarvajit Movies. This yet to be titled film is remake of Tamil blockbuster 'Sivakasi'. Samudra is directing it and Eedara Ranga Rao is the producer. At present the film's shooting is going on in Hyderabad. On Wednesday, a press meet was arranged on the location of the film at Ramanaidu Cine Village. A special set of a street was erected at the studios. It is hero's introduction shot.
A different film with mass touch: Kalyan Ram
Speaking on the occasion, Kalyan Ram said it would give him the much-needed break. "Sentiment and commercial elements are gelled beautifully. Samudra is known for deft handling of such films. It would be bigger hit than the Tamil film," Kalyan Ram said. "I have known Samudra for a long time. He made a film with nannagaru Shivaramaraju. Since then we are good friends. He is mass film director. It is the first time I am doing a complete mass film," Kalyan Ram said.
Samudra and Parachuri Gopala Krishna
"We have begun our regular shooting last month with songs in foreign locations. We have shot three songs so far. With 25 lakhs we have erected this set. It is crucial to the movie. 300 junior artists act in this. We hope to wrap up this by August. Tentative title is August 23, " director Samudra said.
"We have worked with Kalyan Ram earlier. Kalyan Ram has great potentiality in him. I am sure he will be hitting the bull's eye with this film. A very challenging role for him," writer Gopal Krishna praised.
Jackie-Chan stunts
"I have worked with four films with director Samudra. This is fifth film with him. Introduction scene is main highlight. In the last five years, you haven't seen such introduction scene. It is going to be trendsetter. Like Jackie Chan film's, it has amazing stunts," stuntmaster said.
