Grandfather ANR and uncle Nagarjuna were all out to support the latest Akkineni progeny to enter the film industry. At a press meet of the film Kaalidasu, the father-son duo introduced Susanth, grandson of ANR and producer P.A.P. Subba Rao to the media.
“Acting is not hereditary” ANR said “Being from a film family will only help to launch one into the industry but once launched it is the person’s hard work and talent that will bring in the success. I was ridiculed when I accepted Devadasu. I even reduced by remuneration from 23,000 to 7,000 so that people would sign me for social films. Susanth also should work hard and prove himself.”
“We are introducing Susanth, not because he is related to us but because of his talent” Nagarjuna said “Annapurna Studios has always encouraged new talent be it actors or technicians. I am confidant that Susanth will become a successful actor”.
“I did my best for Kaalidasu” a humbled Susanth said “I will work hard. I am eagerly waiting to see the public’s response to my film”.
Susanth’s mother and ANR’s daughter Naga Susheela was also present on the occasion.
