A devotional TV serial "Vratha Mahatyam" was launched today at Annapoorna Studios, Hyderabad. Sana essays the role of Goddess Bhoodevi. The serial will have a total of 200 episodes portraying 42 types of Vrathas in Puranas. The serial will be telecast by Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Channel of Tirumala Tirupathi Devasthanams. The muhurat shot on Sana was clapped by Bobbili MP Smt Botsa Jhansi, while actress Jamuna switched on the camera and the first shot was directed by Rama Prabha. The serial is directed by Raja Chandra Varma. Produced by SV.Ramana, music is rendered by Pratap Vidya Sagar. Sunil Babu and Delhi Rajeswari play the vital roles.
Speaking on the occasion Botsa Jhansi said that the serial will definitely educate the women to practice vrathas and attain purity in their lives. Jamuna said that a serial like Vratha Mahatyam will definitely bring awareness among today’s generation and appreciated the TTD for telecasting the serial. Sana also expressed her happiness for having got the chance to portray the role of Goddess Bhudevi.
In the end producer Ramana and director Rajachandra Varma thanked the TTD board for giving them an opportunity for making this devotional serial.
