The team of the National Award winning film “Hope” today arranged a press meet at Film Chamber, Hyderabad. The film won the Best Feature Film award on Social issues at 54th National Awards function. The unit received the award from the President of India, Pratibha Patil at New Delhi. The film starring Dr.D. Ramanaidu and Kalyani, was directed by Satish and produced by Dr Harnath Policherla.

“I’m extremely happy to say that what I dreamt and what I hoped became true through ‘Hope’. It isn’t possible without the co-operation of Harnath and Ramanaidu garu. I sincerely thank all my unit members for their immense support and Harnath for coming forward to make this film. My dream came true with this National Award for the film ‘Hope’, expressed the thrilled director Satish.

“It’s a great honor to have received the National Award for my film ‘Hope’. This is an amazing film on social cause. My sincere thanks to Ramanaidu garu because this would have been impossible without his cooperation. Satish has provided a great script and has done a fabulous job as a director”, said the producer Harnath Policherla.

Dr. Ramanaidu said, “I’m extremely happy to be part of that film which won the National Award. Though I was a little reluctant to portray the lead role initially, it was the director who had complete confidence in me and extracted the maximum out of me. The Telugu Film Industry requires many more producers like Harnath Policherla who has the guts to make such art films for the betterment of the society. My hearty congratulations to him, for making a film like ‘Hope’ which has brought pride to the Telugu Film Industry.
