The star hunt for Lagadapati Sridhar’s ‘Sneha Geetam’ has finally come to an end. The makers have selected four male actors and one female actress for the film. Madhura Sridhar Reddy of Madhura Entertainments is debuting as a director. A press meet was arranged at Hyderabad Kalamandhir Showroom to introduce the new star cast of the film. Director Madhura Sridhar, Chota K Naidu, Dil Raju, Lagadapati Sridhar and Zee TV’s Rajendranaidu participated in the media briefing.

The female lead of the film, introducing herself as Sriya Dhanwantari said, “I’m a final year engineering student from Warangal. I was one of the contestants in Pantaloon Femina Miss India and I’m an Andhra origin who speaks fluent Telugu. I thank my producer and the director for giving me the opportunity to be part of this film.”

Sandeep who has been selected for one of the four male leads said, “I’m Telugu speaking man hailing from Chennai. I completed my Business Administration and currently working as Assistant Director to Gowtham Menon. But unexpectedly I’ve been selected as one of the male leads in this film. I thank my director and my producer for giving me the opportunity to prove my talent.”

Yet another hero Venky while introduced himself as a B Tech student, said that he choosed acting as his career. He added that acting in a big banner like Larsco Entertainments is a boon to him.

Hero Chaitanya who also completed his Engineering in Electronics hails from Ongole. Speaking to the media he said that he is working as a software engineer in Hi-tech city.

Director Sridhar Reddy said that this star hunt was held specially to select the cast who can speak Telugu and at the same time to exploit the new talent to Telugu industry. ‘We selected four male leads, but could select only one female lead. So we are still on search of two more female artists. We are carefully selecting the cast who fits aptly in the roles. I thank Sridhar for his kind gesture and the confidence that he has on me.

“Although we took many films earlier with new starcast, the speciality of this film is that the entire cast and crew will be the Telugu speaking people. Sridhar Reddy had taken lot of pains while selecting the cast and I’ve given full freedom for him in doing so,” stated Lagadapati Sridhar who is producing ‘Sneha Geetham’.

Chota K Naidu and Dil Raju too expressed their views about the star hunt and congratulated the new casts who have been selected for the film.
