Chandamama Kathalu National Award Press Meet

The National Film Awards for the year 2014 are announced and 'Chandamama Kathalu', directed by Praveen Sattaru and produced by Chanakya Bhooneti on A Working Dream Productions banner, won the National Award for the best film in Telugu. On this occasion, the film unit has arranged a success meet on Friday in Hyderabad.
Speaking on the occasion, Lakshmi Manchu, who gave impressive performance in the film, was thrilled to hear the news and said, “I’m very happy that 'Chandamama Kathalu' has won the National Award for the best film in Telugu. The film has proved that the not just Malayalam films, Telugu films will also win National Awards. The credit goes to the entire team. I specially congratulate Praveen Sattaru and producer Chanakya Bhooneti. Mickey did magic with his music. I wish that the film’s satellite rights will be sold soon and everyone will watch the film.”
Director Praveen Sattaru said, “A film will become a best film only if it has director’s vision, producer’s courage, acting and technical skills of artists and technicians respectively. 'Chandamama Kathalu' has won the National Award for the best film in Telugu. It has given me immense happiness.”
Speaking at the success meet, Naresh said, “'Chandamama Kathalu' stood as turning point in my career. After Jandhyala, Praveen became very close to me. It’s not a simple thing to film 8 stories in a single film. Praveen and Mickey are the heart and soul of the film. The film has proved that the not just Malayalam films, Telugu films will also win National Awards.”
Congratulating the team, Mickey J Mayer said, “Praveen has made the film with a different story which is completely different from routine commercial films. He is a very talented director. I wish that he will make many good films in future.”
Producer Chanakya Bhooneti said, “'Chandamama Kathalu' has won the National Award for the best film in Telugu. It has given me immense happiness. All artists and technicians did very hard work for the film as their own film. I’m thankful to the committee members for selecting our film for the National Award.”
