Uttama Villain Press Meet

After mesmerizing films like ‘Dasavataram’ and ‘Viswaroopam’, Universal Hero Kamal Haasan is coming up with another typical film ‘Uttama Villain’ and it is all set to hit the screens worldwide on May 1. Ramesh Aravind is the director. Thirupathi Brothers and Raaj Kamal Filma International banners are jointly producing the film with Eros International as presenter. C Kanlyan is bringing the film to the Telugu audience on CK Entertainments banner. On this occasion producers held press meet.

On the eve of film’s release, Kamal Haasan said, “We’ve watched the final copy of ‘Uttama Villain’ and it came out wonderfully. Somebody have filed a case against this film. But the court examined and objected the one who filed the case and said that there is no such objectionable scenes in the film. We are doing our own business. Our main intension is to deliver good movies. I treat any religion person Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Jains or Sikhs like my own family members. I don’t make films which criticize any person. I don’t even know politics. I’ve no need to make films for the sake of politics. But some people are trying to disturb my film. I always urges my fans not to get anger on this situations. The story of this film is about the life of an artist. In the film, there is a relationship between the present century and 8th century. I’m very happy to be working with my mentor K Balachandar and K Viswanath. Apart from acting, I’ve provided script and acted as a producer also. I felt that it will be difficult if I handle the direction department also. I felt that Ramesh Aravind is perfect to direct this film. There are no special reasons to act with Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar in ‘Viswaroopam’, ‘Viswaroopam 2’ and ‘Uttama Villain’. I loved their acting style. I’m sure the film will impress everyone.”

On this occasion, C Kalyan said, “The entire credit of the film goes to Kamal Haasan garu. So far, I’ve made over 54 films but I’m feeling proud to bring this film to the Telugu audience. My mentor Balachandar and K Viswanath have acted in the film. Nassar has once again played a wonderful role. ‘Uttama Villain’ has completed the censor formality and received clean ‘U’ certificate. Audio stood as No.1. I’m thankful to Venkateswara Rao, Kumar Babu and BA Raju for their support. I’m extremely confident that the film will stand out as biggest hit for our banner.”

Ramesh Aravind, Nassar, Andrea Jeremiah and Pooja Kumar also spoke at the press meet and expressed their confidence about the success of the film.

The cast of the film includes Kamal Hassan, Jayaram, Andrea Jeremiah, Pooja Kumar, Nassar, Parvathi, Parvathy Nair and Urvashi. Directors K. Viswanath and K. Balachander plays cameo roles in the film. M. Ghibran composes the soundtrack album and background score for the film.
