A Platinum Disc Function of Gopichand - Anushka starrer ‘Souryam’ was held yesterday at Brahmarambha Mallikarjuna Complex, Kukatpally in Hyderabad. The film was directed by Siva and produced by Anand Prasad under Bhavishya Creations banner. All the unit members of the film attended the function and celebrated the event. Among them were the prominent Gopichand, Anushka, director Siva, producer Anand Prasad, Dharmavarapu Subrahmaniam, Thanikella Bharani, Raghubabu, Lyricist Bhaskarbhatla Ravi, dialogue writer Ratnam, distributors Pawan and Ramreddy.

Producer Anand Prasad expressed his happiness towards the success of the film and thanked all the unit members for putting in great efforts and also Anne Ravi for taking the responsibility of production department. Although there were many releases during the Dussera festival, ‘Souryam’ withstood the competition and is still running successfully. Before concluding his speech Anand Prasad said that his banner would come up with more and more films like ‘Souryam’ that would entertain all categories of audiences.

Hero Gopichand while speaking said that every unit member is the hero of the film, hence the credit for the success goes to the entire team. “The producer Anand Prasad trusted my capabilities so as I on director Siva. This is the sixth film for me with music director Mani Sharma and his music has always been an asset for my films. I thank one and all for making this film a grand success”, said Gopichand.

Heroine Anushka praising the director said that Siva, the cinematographer turned director had shown her very beautiful and that although this film is his first directorial venture, he worked like an experienced man.

Director Siva thanked Gopichand and Anand Prasad for trusting and giving him the opportunity to make one such film. According to him ‘Souryam’ is impossible without the Gopichand and Anand Prasad and thanked each and everyone who made the film to become successful.

All other unit members also opined their thoughts about the film and thanked one and all for making the film to go on a successful path.
