Nandamuri Balakrishna’s new movie ‘Sri Ramarajyam’, to be directed by Bapu was launched today at Ramakrishna Cine Studios, Hyderabad. For the muhurat shot on title logo, Balakrishna tapped the clap board and Ramesh Prasad switched on the camera. This movie is going to be produced by Yalamanchi Saibabu under Sri Sai Baba Movies banner. In this film Akkineni Nageswara Rao will play the role of Valmiki while Srikanth will play Lakshmana and Nayantara will play Sita. The story of the film is written by Mullapudi Venkata Ramana.
The launching function was also attended by Nandamuri Ramakrishna, Srikanth, Ramesh Prasad, Mullapudi Venkata Ramana, etc.
Speaking to the media Balakrishna said, “Sri Ramarajyam is a film that portrays the events after the return of Rama and Sita from Vanvasam. I’m very lucky to do this film under Bapu’s direction. He directed many remarkable films. To do this mythological role which my father did in the past, is good deeds in my life. It is not important to know the number of films that we acted, it’s important to remain in the hearts of people through good roles that we do. I consider doing this film as God’s blessing.”
Producer Yalamanchi Saibabu built Ramalayam near Chintakunta village. He said that an idea to do a movie on Sri Rama was conceptualized while the preparations were on to open the temple. This movie would be made without compromising on the production values and satisfying the expectations of the audience. It would also be something similar to the movie ‘Lava Kusa’.”
“After NT Rama Rao garu, it is only Balayya babu who can do such mythological characters. ‘Sri Ramarajyam’ will remain in the hearts of audience forever”, opined Krishnam Raju.
