Alaa Modalaindi 50 Days Function

Nani and Nithya Menon starrer ‘Ala Modalaindi’ which was directed by B V Nandini Reddy and produced by K Damodhar Prasad was released recently and successfully completed its 50 days run. On this occasion the 50 days function was held at Mount Heights in Hyderabad. This programme was attended by Dr Dasari Narayana Rao, C Kalyan, Nandini Reddy, Nani, Doraswamy Raju, KC Sekhar Babu, KL Kumar Chowdary, Jayasudha, Raana, Bellamkonda Suresh, Varun Sandesh, Sumanth, Vamsi, Harish Shankar, Boyapati Sreenu, Chalapathi Rao, Jaya Krishna, Ramesh Prasad, Prasanna Kumar, Pokuri Babu Rao, Ashish Vidyarthi, Parachuri Brothers and others.

Addressing the gathering Dr Dasari Narayana Rao said, “I am very happy to note that my friend Ranjith Kumar’s son Damodhar Prasad is celebrating the 50 days function of his production venture ‘Ala Modalaindi’. After ‘Bommarillu’, this movie comes under that genre. It is not important how big the film is, but it is very important to know how good the film is. Of late many movies are being made that’s spoiling the society. The makers are also using filthy language to attract the crowds and make their films hit. At this juncture Nandini Reddy directed a feel good film which is on par with films of Bhanumathi and Vijaya Nirmala. After watching this movie I wanted to felicitate the director, hero and heroine of this film. I really appreciate her for filming one such film that has human values unlike many directors who are preferring the seducing costumes and dirty dialogues. She developed the storyline based on the mentalities of a boy and girl characters and her particular feelings about them. Many young directors are coming up with various conceptual films but only few are able to withstand their position. In the recent part I think only ‘Ala Modalaindi’ got a genuine hit by running in 56 centres for 50 days successfully. I’m confident that this movie will complete 100 days also. Ashish Vidyarthi’s performance is very good in this movie. I congratulate the entire team on this occasion. Lastly I would like to say that if the young directors do not fall prey for the heroes, the heroes will definitely chase them.”

Rana said, “I saw this film even before its release and passed on the message to everyone that the film is excellent. I’m a big fan of Nani. Even though I do not know much about the director Nandini Reddy, I can certainly say that she is a talented actress.”

Varun Sandesh said, “If the movie is good people will watch it irrespective of big or small film. And this movie has proved it once again. Nithya and Nani were excellent in this film and I’m very happy about the film’s success.”

Sumanth while speaking, “Nandini Reddy worked under Suresh productions for quite long time. She should have become a director long ago but she finally became now. Nani is a very good actor and his performance in this film was great. Every film that he chooses will be different from other. Nithya was also excellent in this film.”

Ashish Vidyarthi said, “I am very happy to note that many seniors have come to this function for blessing us. I congratulate Nandini Reddy and her team on this occasion.”

Boyapathi Sreenu said, “Our wishes on double platinum disc function that Nandini Reddy should become a big director have turned out to become true. She crafted the film excellently even though the team was new. I wish her all the best and hope that she comes up with many more wonderful films in the near future.”

Harish Shankar commented, “I hate Nandini, Nani and Nithya, but I love ‘Ala Modalaindi’. I said this only because I liked the film a lot. This movie was released along with my film ‘Mirapakai’. After watching the film I feel like congratulating Nandini and her entire team for this wonderful film.”

Vamsi opined that ‘Ala Modalaindi’ became successful only because of the good chemistry between Nani and Nandini Reddy. He also said that the producer took lot of interest in promoting the film after its release.

“Successful films are like fresh breeze to the movie industry. Dhamu’s father Ranjith Kumar is a close friend of mine. Hence we screened this movie in Imax theater which is still being screened for 4 shows. On this occasion I congratulate Nandini Reddy for making such a wonderful film”, said Ramesh Prasad.

Bellamkonda Suresh said, “My best wishes to the unit members on this occasion. This movie is like ‘Magadheera’ among all small films. Nani did ‘Ride’ under our banner. I’m very happy for his film becoming a big success.”

Jayasudha said, “I did many films under Ranjith Movies banner. Nani has fans from all age groups. Nandini Reddy directed a very good film. I’m very happy that the movie is celebrating 50 days function.”

Nani while speaking, “Each of my films would get two different opinions after the preview shows. But still I was confident about this film so much that I asked the producer to organize the preview show. Thanks to Rana for appreciating my film and this shows that there is a healthy competition even among our heroes.”

Nandini Reddy said, “I’m very happy to say that there is a healthy atmosphere in the film industry. The reason, Harish promoted my film despite his film got released at the same time.”
