Virodhi PM

Srikanth’s forthcoming film ‘Virodhi’ is being directed by Neelakanta and being produced by Anil Meka under Meka Media banner. On the occasion of Srikanth’s birthday today, 23rd of March, a function was held at Film Nagar Cultural Centre where a press meet was also held. This programme was attended by Srikanth, Kamal Kamaraju, Krishna Vamsi, Neelakanta, Anil Meka, Posani Krishna Murali, R P Patnaik, Sivaji Raja, Ajay and others.

Srikanth celebrated his birthday by cutting the cake. After releasing the logo of ‘Virodhi’, Krishna Vamsi addressed the gathering. He said, “Neelakanta is one of those few directors in Tollywood who directs meaningful films. I’m very happy to note that Srikanth is doing a film with him that too with his brother Anil as producer.”

Neelakanta said, “I’m very much thrilled to do this film. This story was haunting me for a long time. But I feel this story would aptly suit the present situation in the society. The film is on Naxalism backdrop but there won’t be any naxalism. ‘Virodhi’ is being made with the entire team work.”

Posani Krishna Murali said, “I offer my birthday wishes to Srikanth. This title ‘Virodhi’ is quite opposite of what Srikanth is in his real life and same is the case with the title of my film too. I wish a grand success to this film.”

R P Patnaik while speaking, “Neelakanta first offered me a role in this film but when I was not sure whether I can do justice to that role, he later requested me to provide the music. Everyone enjoyed the music while shooting the songs. The film was shot in some remote and dangerous locations. I’m lucky to render music to this movie.”

Srikanth said, “My first film was ‘People’s Encounter’. After entering the movie industry I’m celebrating my 20th birthday and I’m doing the film on Naxals backdrop. I’m playing the witty journalist in this movie. Neelakanta came up with an outstanding story. I’m a little scared about my brother since he is stepping into the film industry as a producer. I wish to see him as a successful producer.”

Producer Anil said, “I’m very happy to release the logo on Srikanth’s birthday. We have completed the shooting part yesterday. The major part of the film was shot in outdoors. Right now the post production works are going on. Music and cinematography are the main assets to this film. The artists also cooperated with us and did excellent job. We are planning to release the movie during summer vacation.”
