Suresh Kondeti’s SK Pictures is coming with the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil super hit film ‘Engayum Eppodum’ with the title ‘Journey’. This movie will be presented by Studio N and 3 K Entertainments banners. This movie is also the first production venture of prominent director Murugadoss. He made this film by introducing his student M Saravanan featuring Sharwanand, Jai, Anjali and Ananya in the lead roles.
‘Engayum Eppodum’ was made with a small budget but the film collected Rs 8 crores share in the first week in Tamil Nadu and created a new record among the small films. Even today the movie is said to be running in all the theaters released with houseful collections. The Tamil Nadu film pundits are predicting the total share of this film to be Rs 20 crores. Satya scored the music for ‘Journey’ which was recorded in Chennai. The lyrics and dialogues were rendered by Karthik.
Singer Tippu said, “I got the feel of experiencing a good journey as long as I was watching this film. Satya composed excellent music. All songs are superb. We singers are very happy to have got the opportunity to sing songs in one such valuable film. We thank Suresh Kondeti garu on this occasion.”
Lyricist Sahiti too shared his views in this manner. He said, “There are five lovely melodies in ‘Journey’. Satya garu rendered excellent music to this film. I’m very happy to work with one such music director who has excellent taste. Satya is a Telugu speaking person but settled in Tiruchi. The story of this film is also based on the journey from Tiruchi to Chennai. However in Telugu it will be shown as the journey from Vijayawada to Hyderabad. The audio is a big hit in Tamil and I hope that it will be repeated in Telugu also. The film is blend with mass entertainment and sensitive love story. The director developed the script excellently by grasping a good storyline. It’s such an excellent film that one who watches the film will not be able to come out of that trauma for about a month. A lyricist rarely gets a chance to write songs for such incredible films. I consider this as a great achievement in my 35 years of career as I penned the dialogues along with the lyrics for this film.”
Music director Satya said, “Engeyum Eppodum is my first film as music director and the same is being repeated in Telugu as ‘Journey’. I’m very lucky to compose music in two languages for my very first film. The songs in Tamil got good recognition. The Telugu songs are going to be released soon. I wish the audience will make this audio a big hit in Telugu as well.”
Singers Karthik, Anuradha Sriram, Sayonora, Harini and Ravina Reddy also shared their views with the media.
