On The Sets: Swamy Ra Ra

Nikhil, Colors Swathi and Pooja starrer ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ is presently being shot in Hyderabad Dog House. Actor cum director Allari Ravi Babu is playing a vital role in the movie. Debut director Sudhir Varma is filming this full-fledged comedy entertainer. Chakri Chigurupati is producing it under Lakshmi Narasimha Entertainment banner with Shankar Chigurupati as presenter of the film. Sunny is providing the music. A press meet was held today to brief about the film’s details.

Nikhil said, “This is my 9th film as a hero and 9 is my lucky number. Hence as a sentiment I believe that ‘Swamy Ra Ra’ will earn me a good name. I’m playing a smart pick pocketer in this film. The film is on the backdrop of crime and comedy. You have to watch the film to figure out the connection between me, Swathi and the temple located there. Shooting is progressing at a fast pace. We are going to appear on big screen to entertain the audience in January.”

Swathi said, “I’m playing a bubbly character and it’s name is also Swathi. I’m impressed with the story a lot. This will be my best movie among all my movies till date. I’m very happy to have worked with a good team.”

Ravi Babu said, “I worked with many directors as an actor. However this is the first time I’m working with a director like Sudhir who is clear in what he is doing. He showed me my character in a video in the form of a cartoon. He is also crafting the film in a funny manner with funny screenplay. I appreciate him as a director. He is sure to earn a good name with this film. This is not a small film as the producers are making it as a grandeur. My best wishes to the entire team.”

Director Sudhir Varma said, “This is my first film as a director. I worked as an associate for the film ‘Veedu Theda’. I;m very happy to work with the same team once again. The film is presently in last shooting schedule. We shot the film in beautiful locations in Hyderabad, Kerala and Karnataka. A little more shooting is left to do in Kerala which will be completed by this month end.”

Co-producer Sandeep said, “This is yet another film in our combination after ‘Veedu Theda’. This project is done by six of us who are friends. The film is currently in last shooting schedule. We will complete the post-production works and release the movie in January.”

Actor Jeeva opined that Sudhir will become a good director in the near future and that directors like him are very essential for Telugu film industry.
Heroine Pooja, Jogi brothers and Praveen also spoke to the media and expressed their views about the film.
