Devaraya Success Meet

Srikanth, Videesha and Meenakshi Dixit starrer ‘Devaraya’ is directed by Nani Krishna based on an episode from the history of Sri Krishnadevaraya. This Nani Krishna and Kiran Jakkamsetty’s production venture was recently released and running in theaters with success talk. On this occasion a success meet was organised by the unit at Film Chamber in Hyderabad on Monday. Srikanth, Meenakshi Dixit, director cum producer Nani Krishna, Sammeta Gandhi, producer Kiran Jakkamsetty, Kondavalasa, Shivaji Raja, cameraman Poorna and others participated in the success meet.

Srikanth said, “Our entire team watched the film on the release day. We were all very happy to see the audience clap and whistle for Devarayulu’s dialogues. The buyers and distributors are also very happy with the results. Nani was very confident about the film right from the beginning and maintained the same till the end. ‘Devaraya’ gave me life after ‘Mahatma’. It’s one of the highest budget movies in my career. I thank Telugu audience for giving me such a huge success.”

Director Nani Krishna said, “I directed this movie with the intention of entertaining the audience. The success of this film is the hard work of the entire unit. My friend Kiran supported me a lot with the urge of making me a director. I thank the audience for making the film a big hit. In future also I will make films that will entertain the audience and would never try my hand on message oriented films.” Speaking further he said, “My question is why the film industry people do not have the freedom even to the extent of criminals like Kasab, who got the opportunity to defense himself in the court.”

Producer Kiran said, “Our entire team worked hard without any time limit. The success of this film is the hard work of all our unit members. There was huge response for the Srikanth’s role as Devaraya. His performance, action scenes and dialogues received wide response. I thank everyone for making the film a huge hit.”

All others also shared their thoughts about the film and expressed happiness on its success.
