Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu Triple Platinum Disc

The triple platinum disc function of Victory Venkatesh, Superstar Mahesh Babu, Anjali, Samantha, Prakash Raj, Jayasudha and Rohini Hattangadi starrer ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’ was held on December 20th at Shilpa Kala Vedika in Hyderabad. Directed by Srikanth Addala and produced by Dil Raju, Sirish and Lakshman, this Sri Venkateswara Creations movie had musical scores by Mickey J Meyer and background score by Mani Sharma. Lyrics for the songs were penned by Sirivennela Seetarama Sastry and Ananth Sriram.

Hyderabad saw the grand event on Sunday evening with the presence of superstar Krishna, Vijaya Nirmala, movie moghul D Ramanaidu, Victory Venkatesh, superstar Mahesh Babu, Namrata, Samantha, Anjali, Seetarama Sastry, Ananth Sriram, Mickey J Mayer, art director AS Prakash, Srikanth Addala, Dil Raju, Sirish, Lakshman, Aditya music Niranja, etc.

Peddodu Venkatesh and Chinnodu Mahesh Babu distributed the platinum discs to all unit members. Later when Jhansi was requesting Peddudo to say a few words, Chinnodu grabbed the mike and spoke.
Chinnodu went emotional while speaking. He said, “I’m very happy with the success of ‘Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu’. I’ve no words to say at this happy moment as tears were rolling my eyes when Seetarama Sastry garu was giving his speech.” Controlling his emotions, he further continued saying, “This success is not ours. It belongs to Telugu audience. It was a wonderful experience working with my brother Venkatesh. I can never forget those moments in my life. I thank all my costars Samantha, Anjali, Prakash Raj, Jaya Sudha garu and all technicians. Director Srikanth worked really hard for four years for this film and today he is seeing the fruitful results of his hardwork. I wish Dil Raju garu to make many more films like this. I wish to have fans and audience’s encouragement and love like this forever. Lastly, I forgot to mention about one main person Mickey J Meyer. I thank him for giving wonderful musical scores for the film.”
Peddodu said, “Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu is a feel good film. I whole-heartedly thank the audience for watching and enjoying the film. Srikanth directed the film in a very natural way. I have an elder brother but from now onwards I consider Mahesh as my younger brother in real life too.”
Superstar Krishna said, “Seetamma Vakitlo Sirimalle Chettu reminded me of movies made by Chakrapani and L V Prasad during our period. Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu appeared like real brothers. I whole-heartedly appreciate the director for preparing a script that revolves around the whole family and two brothers instead of two heroes. I thank the audience for making the movie a super hit. I also congratulate each and everyone who have worked for this film.”
Vijaya Nirmala said, “I’m glad to see one such multi-starrer movie with two big heroes after a long time. It’s time for Dil Raju to change his name as Sirimalle Raju now. I could feel the Sankranti festival atmosphere in today’s function.”

Seetarama Sastry said, “I travelled with the story right from the day it went on the sets. Therefore I was very confident about the movie’s success and that’s what I’m seeing today. Dil Raju is making good family movies post ‘Bommarillu’. I appreciated director Srikanth Addala for designing such a beautiful film. Doing such films may not be new to Peddodu Venkatesh, but when it comes to Chinnodu Mahesh Babu, I appreciate him for not only choosing this film but also telling the director to follow his script and not bother about his star image and fans.” Referring to him and Anantha Sriram he said, “The lyrics were also given by Peddodu and Chinnodu. While I penned a traditional song, Chinnodu Ananth Sriram wrote youthful songs in his style without missing the standard of Telugu lyrics. There is also another Peddodu Mani Sharma who provided excellent re-recording and Chinnodu Mickey J Meyer who composed songs beautifully. In this way, while Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu are Peddodu and Chinnodu on the screen, we are Peddodu and Chinnodu behind the screen.”

Director Srikanth Addala said, “After my debut movie ‘Kotha Bangaru Lokam’, Marthand K Venkatesh garu asked me to plan a story for Nagarjuna garu, but I told that I don’t have a script for a big star like him. Later I prepared this script and narrated it to Dil Raju. Then with the help of Dil Raju and Marthand K Venkatesh I narrated the script to two brothers Suresh Babu and Venkatesh which itself was a good sign for this project. I succeeded 50% when they have okayed it and everyone is aware of how I began this project. As long as the movie was on the sets, I felt like I was working with two brothers and not with star heroes. Their cooperation and help is unforgettable in my life. The beautiful moments during the filmmaking may not be repeated again but I’m happy and satisfied with the feeling of working with two big heroes. Producer Dil Raju always supported me and encouraged me whenever I used to get the feel of pressure. The audience gave us a huge hit for our efforts. So on this occasion I thank them and each and every person in my team.”

D Ramanaidu said, “Movie has become a superhit and I wish it to become a bigger hit. Dil Raju has already become one of the top producers. Therefore I wish him to make more good films in near future and maintain the image as good producer.”

Samantha made efforts to speak Telugu. She said, “I’m very happy to work with good directors and producers in Telugu film industry. Mahesh Babu told me in the past to consider every film as my first film and work. I’m following his advice and I think that’s main reason for my success. I thank everybody for making the movie a grand success.”

Mickey J Meyer said, “I thank everyone in the industry for encouraging me right from the time I stepped into Telugu film industry, especially Tammareddy Baradwaja garu who gave me my first break in Telugu followed by many diectors like Sekhar Kammula who gave me good opportunities. I thank Srikanth Addala garu and producer Dil Raju garu for giving me the opportunity for composing music for a big project despite many big music directors in the industry. I’m very happy that the film is a huge hit.”

Dil Raju said, “Four years ago Srikanth came up with a simple storyline stating our families’ welfare is important to for the welfare of the society. However when I told him that it’s not an easy task to handle one such script, he approached me exactly after one year with the same script saying that two heroes are required for it. Even though I was a hesitant about it, he assured that he get nod from Venkatesh and Mahesh Babu first. Later we started the shooting and completed the film on a happy note although there were lots of conflicts between me and him during the making of the film. I know how much he worked hard for this film for the past four years. I’m very happy to announce that our banner is completed 10 years successfully with this multi-starrer film. The success of this film is purely our star heroes because even if we had worked hard, it’s has become possible only with their cooperation. We will definitely make more good movies in future.”

While Mahesh Babu’s fans falicitated Venkatesh with a huge bouquet, Venkatesh fans falicitated Mahesh Babu too with the similar bouquet. Jhansi anchored the show.
