Back Bench Student Team at Mirchi Studios, Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 11th, 2013: The Radio Mirchi studio was abuzz with activities as Hyderabad’s hottest radio station, announced the winners of their unique contest ‘Share your Back Bench Story’. The contest required listeners to share stories of their time in college and all the fun times they had sitting at the back benches.

The contest was held as part of a promotion for the movie ‘Back Bench Student’ which will be out in theaters on March 15th. Winners were showered with exciting prizes which included Celkon mobile phones and tabs, given away by officials of Cellkon who graced the occasion. Santoshi won the grand prize – A Vespa scooter. Mr. Santosh Deshmukh, Asst General Manager, Marketing, and Vice President, Marketing M.V. Krishna of Vespa scooters were present on the occasion to give away the grand prize.

Director of the movie Madhura Sridhar and lead actors Mahat Raghavendra and Piya Bajpay were present at the Radio Mirchi studios to announce the winners. It was fun and nostalgia all the way as listeners were heard sharing their experiences with RJ Bhargavi on Band Baaja. A sense of euphoria prevailed as the names of the lucky listeners who won the contest were announced.

An excited listener remarked, “It was so much fun to hear all the fun times students had during college. It was nostalgic as I could relate most of the stories with my own experience in college. Thanks to Radio Mirchi I could relive those memories. I am looking forward to watching the movie”.

Director Madhura Sridhar shared his thoughts about the movie, “Back Bench Student is a love story & has a feel good factor to it. It’s a very well scripted movie and portrays the life of a student very well in a manner never seen before. It is movie that everybody can relate to and I am sure the audience will love the movie.”

Commenting on the contest, actor Mahat Raghavendra commented, “It is a unique contest and it was great fun listening to some of the stories from the listeners. Thanks to Radio Mirchi for infusing fun into the contest. Hope the movie will be enjoyed by the audience as much as we have had fun making it”
