‘Mahabhakta Siriyala’ starring Nandamuri Tarakaratna and Archana as lead pair is taking shape briskly under the direction of Muddapu Rambabu. Vallabhaneni Venkateswara Rao is producing this graphical extravaganza under the banner ‘VVR Entertainment India Pvt Ltd.’ Audio launch was held on Wednesday in Hyderabad. J K Bharavi released the audio CDs and presented the first copy to heroine Archana while each song was released by Tarakaratna, J K Bharavi, T Prasanna Kumar, VRK Rao, Tummalapalli Satyanarayana and PKL Reddy. Archana released the teaser at the same venue.
Addressing the gathering J K Bharavi said, “The same movie was a very big hit in Kannada four decades ago. It’s a movie with powerful story. Bhavani Prasad writes dialogues that are full of aesthetic savour. Tarakaratna maintained the same look throughtout the film which will be the main cause for the film’s success. We had similar thought when we wanted to cast Nagarjuna for the role of Annamayya. Archana is like a Baapu doll in this film. All songs are impressive. While I did ‘Aadi Shankara’ producer Vallabhaneni did this film and both the films are yet to see the satellite market. At times it makes me think that the Hinduism might get vanished if such films are not being recognized by the audience.”
Producer Vallabhaneni Venkateswara Rao said, “We did three thousand episodes on small screen and won 19 Nandi awards. While all satellite rights of TV channels are grabbed by corporate companies, we got worried and sent a letter to ETV with some valid points and got the feedback asking us to do ‘Bhakta Siriyala’ as a telefilm. However we could not complete it on time. So after six months we decided to do it as a film. When narrated the story to Tarakaratna, he took some time to decide on it and finally agreed to do it. Our unit felt that Archana is the aptly suitable heroine for this film. Chaitanya Prasad is next to Aathreya who can pen meaning lyrics. We had not money when we launched this film. But God has saved us by giving us the required money. This film will get appreciations from the audience as long as Hinduism exists. In case the film fails to impress the audience, then it’s meant that I failed to connect the film with the audience. According to me graphics must be declared as 25th craft.”
Tarakaratna said, “When I listened to the story I thought for a while and decided to do this film. The point which haunted me in this story was killing the son and cooking. Archana is a wonderful co-star. The entire team worked hard. I’m very proud to have done this film.”
Archana said, “I feel happy when people are appreciating the trailer. My self-confidence has increased since then. The Telugu audience recognized me as Seeta after the film ‘Sree Ramadasu’. I’m very happy to have worked to a director like Raghavendra Rao in the beginning of my career. I signed four films at a stretch in 2012 and all of them are going to release this year. 2013 is a very good year for me. Lord Shiva is my favourite God. We did this film with our devotion and dedication to Lord Shiva.”
According to director, he was able to complete the project on time with the team work, good produces and Tarakaratna’s punctuality.
