Srikanth’s new film titled ‘Naatukodi’ was launched this morning at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad. Nani Krishna will direct and produce this film. Hero Gopichand sounded the clap board for the muhurat shot while C R Manohar switched on the camera and B Gopal held the direction.
Later Srikanth said, “I did ‘Devaraya’ with Nani Krishna. So I’m aware of his working style. He is one of the latest directors who work with clarity. Director narrated the comedy script by mixing the sentiment. Of late I’ve been doing serious movies. I’m doing this full-fledged entertainer after all those films. I’m sure it’s going to be a good film and would help my career. It’s a mass masala film. Major part of the film will be shot in Paalakollu since it’s on village backdrop. We will fix the shooting schedules of this film based on schedules of my other films.”
Director cum producer Nani Krishna said, “I like the line written by ‘Yandamuri – “All are bad in this world. Few of them are remaining good only due to not getting the opportunity.” ‘Naatukodi’ movie is on the backdrop of father-son sentiment. It’s a story between a sincere police officer and a rural S.I. We are following the concept called less good, more masala. Kota Srinivasa Rao is playing the father’s role.”
Music director Yajamaanya said, “I worked as assistant to Mani Sharma for over 150 films. I even sang songs for Srikanth’s films in the past. This is my first film as music director.”
