Jyothi Lakshmi Book Launch

A book on the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ was launched on Wednesday i.e. on May 11 at a grand event held at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad in the presence of film unit members. Prominent actor and writer Tanikella Bharani, writer Sarvamangala Gowri, heroine Charmi Kaur, hero Satya, Shandi, music director Sunil Kadhyap, cameraman PG Vinda, Apoorva, Gayatri, Puri Jagannadh’s son Akash, Ajay Ghosh, Tarzan and few others were present at the event. Tanikella Bharani launched the ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ book and presented the first copy to Charmi Kaur.

Young charming beauty Charmi Kaur as the lead and as the presenter, the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ was directed by Dashing director Puri Jagannath. Swethalana, Varun, Teja and CV Rao have jointly produced the film on CK Entertainments Pvt. Ltd. and Sri Subha Swetha Films banners. The film which was made based on a novel written by Malladi Venkata Krishnamurthy was released recently and became big success and also won critical acclaims. Especially the film has got massive response from female audience and it was connected to them. Prominent writer and volunteer Sarvamangala Gowri has written a book on the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ which describes the talents of artists and technicians.

Dashing director Puri Jagannadh spoke about the book through a video saying, “As I am busy with my works, I am unable to attend the function. I am sorry for that. The book on ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ has taken my fame and film’s reputation to the next level. 40 years back, Malladi Venkata Krishnamurthy has penned ‘Mrs Parankusam’. 20 years back I got the idea to make it as a film. 7 years back, I approached Charmi with the idea and she too accepted and finally the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ happened. Gowri garu has brought it out as a book. Tanikella Bharani garu has penned the first word. I am thankful to both of them. I feel Charmi is lucky that a book is brought on her film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’. Charmi’s character in the film is compared with Madhuravani and it has given me immense happiness. The film will become an inspiration to many new artists and technicians. I will make many more good films in future.”

Speaking at the function, Tanikella Bharani said, “To my knowledge, this is the first time a book was penned on the film. I appreciate Sarvamangala Gowri for bringing out the book on the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’. Puri Jagannadh has made this film with the famous name with Charmi as heroine. Gowri garu has explained each and every character in the film wonderfully. It’s like a milestone in the Telugu film history. I have worked with Puri Jagannadh for the film ‘Itlu Sravani Subramanyam’. Puri received Nandi Award in best dialogue writer for that film. Puri is a good human being and he didn’t hurt anyone in his cine journey. Charmi has given wonderful performance for the film ‘Anukokunda Oka Roju’ and ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’. After I read the book, I watched the film recently and I want to watch it again and again. I heard that ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ part-2 is also coming. Sarvamangala Gowri has penned the book beautifully.”

On this occasion, actor Ajay Ghosh said, “I consider myself lucky that I am part of ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’. I am thankful to Charmi garu and Puri Jagannadh garu. I request everyone to read the book brought by Sarvamangala Gowri garu.”

Heroine Charmi lauded Sarvamangala Gowri garu saying, “I am very happy that the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ was made based on the book and brought out as a book. Puri garu has made the film based on the novel ‘Mrs Parankusam’. I am feeling proud that a book is penned on the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’. I am thankful to Gowri garu for penning such a beautiful book. I would like to thank Puri jagannadh garu for giving me such a wonderful film. I am thankful to each and every artist and technician who worked for the film. The name ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ became popular.”

Addressing the gathering, writer Sarvamangala Gowri said, “Puri Jagannadh garu has made the film ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ based on the novel ‘Mrs Parankusam’. I got inspired by the film. I have watched the film several times. Charmi, Satya, Shandi and Ajay and everyone’s acting is wonderful. They dwelled into the skin of their characters. Even though the film was made on women, it’s a must watch film for men. Women are to be respected. Each and every scene and song in the film is very impressive. I took three days to write the script. Jyothi Lakshmi is a must read book for everyone and It’s a majestic book. ‘Mithunam’ is also a wonderful film.”
