Director cum producer Ayodhya Kumar Krishnam Shetty has come out with the film ‘Minugurulu’ on the banner Respect Creations featuring 48 blind children from Andhra Pradesh along with Aashish Vidhyardhi, Suhasini Maniratnam, Deepak, Raghuveer Yadav, Rushika and Srinivas in prominent roles. Darsakaratna Dasari Narayana Rao, who watched the film recently at his residence decided to release the film on his banner Siri Media. On this occasion he organised a press meet to announce the release date.
Dasari Narayana Rao said, “So far I never added my name to any film I distributed on my banner except my films. On PD Prasad’s suggestion I watched the film along with the film director Ayodhya at my residence at midnight 12.30 PM. After watching the film I’ve learnt that there is lot of hard work behind this film. Every scene was heart touching. The makers trained 48 blind children in acting to do this film. The director showed the way for the problems the blind childen are facing. So instead of just appreciating Ayodhya, I wanted to lend my support by being part of the film. Hence we have decided to release ‘Minugurulu’ on 24th through our banner. Although not in large number of theaters, we will ensure that film be released in compact theaters. Since I’m involved with this project as a presenter, the exhibitors have come forward to release the film without rent on percentage base. There is a criticism that no good films are being made in Telugu. However there is scope for more number of good films only if such films are encouraged. This is a must watch good film for everyone. We are planning a special show for disabled and police department. We have also sent a special invitation to the Governor.
Director cum producer Ayodhya Kumar said, “It’s only due to Dasari garu, our film is getting released. I never imagined that my film would be released in a theater like Devi 70MM. It’s possible only due to Dasari garu. Lot of people’s hardwork is there behind this film. I thank all of them on this occasion.”
