Dr Rajendra Prasad’s new film titled ‘Tommy’ also featuring a dog named Boogie in central role was launched on Sunday at film Nagar in Hyderabad. Raja Vannemreddy will direct this interesting film which will be produced by Chegondi Hariramajogayya and Bonam Chinababu. Dr Dasari Narayana Rao tapped the clap board while Krishnam Raju switched on the camera and Kodi Ramakrishna held the direction.

In a press meet held later Krishnam Raju said, “The entire universe is aware of the human-dog dynamic bond and how faithful is the dog to its master. So the entire film is based on this concept. My best wishes to the film unit on this occasion.”

“A well trained dog that can do 72 feats was choosen for the film ‘Tommy’. One shouldn’t miss the climax of this film,” commented Kodi Ramakrishna.

Dr Rajendra Prasad said, “We have seen several films on human relations. Similarly the bond between humans and animals was also shown in the film ‘Rajendrudu Gajendrudu’. So with the same concept ‘Tommy’ will depict the relationship between a dog and its master. It’s a beautiful film. I’m doing a sentiment based film after a very long time. I hope Raja will do a good job in direction.”

Director Raja Vannemreddy said, “Off late we are seeing several films being stalled in between the production. At this juncture, producer Hari Ramajogayya garu trusted me and launched the film ‘Tommy’ with Rajendra Prasad garu and a dog in central roles. Hence I’ll certainly work hard to live up to his expectations. The film will have three beautiful songs along with one background song. Chakri has composed wonderful tunes.”

Producer Hari Ramajogayya Sastry said, “The story of ‘Tommy’ is based on the real life incident which happened in Japan in the era of 1925-1937. I’m sure the climax part in the film will touch the viewers’ hearts. I’m making the film with the blessings of Dasari garu and based on Kodi Ramakrishna’s advice. We are planning to complete the film on single schedule.”

Other prominent star cast in the film is Seeta, Suresh, Deepak, LB Sriram, Raghu Babu, Venu Madhav, Surya and Mumtaz.
