This is not about the recurrence of currency problems in the country but about the upcoming movie directed by P Sunil Kumar Reddy.
The film title is ‘ATM Working.’ However, the story time is when ATMs not Working post demonetisation period and the problems faced by the people during that period. It is nicely blended with a heart touching love story.
Pawan, Asha, Rakesh, Karunya, Narayana, Mahendra, Mahesh, Ambati Sinu, Kishor Das, Tirupati dorai, Veera Babu, Chillara Rambabu and Anjaneyulu are the star cast of this film.
K Basireddy and Y Ravindra Babu jointly producing this movie under Digi quest India limited and Shravya Films banners.
In a press meet held at Hyderabad on Wednesday, producer Basireddy said, “First, we have named our film ‘ATM not Working’, but removed the word ‘not’ from the title due to Censor objection. This is not any serious film that gives any message or criticizes anyone. It is a heart touching love story made in the back drop of problems aroused post demonetisation. Hence, we are sure that our film will definitely connect with all sections of audiences.
Ravindra Babu said, “We have been working together with Digi Quest since 2002. This is our 4th movie. We got this idea for our film when we were standing in the queue line at an ATM. Although, we dealt with a burning point, we have presented in a lighter vein by topping it with a full length of comedy. So, we guarantee full entertainment to the audiences. Bapiraju garu is releasing our movie.”
Director said, “We made this film to document how a decision taken by the government has influenced the daily lives of 125 crores Indians. We tried to project the issues in our banking system. But, we avoid criticizing anyone. The story revolves around three yong entrepreneurs, who faced unexpected problems post demonetisation. Although, we are forced to remove ‘not’ from our title, everyone knows the ground realities. This is like an attempt to make a caricature from the trending politics.”
Hero of the film Pawan said, “It is story about three friends who planned to start a business but badly struck with currency problems. I hope audiences will love to watch our movie and find themselves in our characters.”
Heroine Karunya says “Thanks to director and producers for choosing me for this movie. It is a middle-class love story made in the back drop of currency troubles. It is very interesting and catchy story.”
