The pre-release event of Baahubali 2: The conclusion is more than an event, it was a celebration. The team celebrated the success of their hard work, patience, dedication and love. The film’s cast and crew Prabhas, Rana, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishna, Nasser, MM Keeravani, screenwriter Vijayendra Prasad, VFX Person Kamala Kannan, editor Vamsi, line producer Valli, costume designers Rama Rajamouli and Prashanthi, director SS Rajamouli and producers Shobu and Prasad of ARKA Productions and some others are on the stage together for this grand event. The event was grandest held at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on March 26. Several eminent personalities from across industries like Rebel Star Krishnam Raju, Karan Johar, Nani, Sabu Cyril, Nimmagadda Prasad, Subbaraju, D Suresh Babu, Lahari Music head Manohar Naidu, T Series head Shiv, AMD head Rajabali and Prashanthi Tripuraneni and some others have graced the event.
On this occasion, Manohar Naidu said, “Audio of ‘Baahubali’ part 1 which was released on our Lahari Music label has created world records. I am very excited that ‘Baahubali 2’ audio is also being released through our Lahari Music. We really can’t wait to watch ‘Baahubali 2’ which reveals million dollars question why Kattappa killed Baahubali. Keeravani garu has given outstanding music. I am very sure the music album will create new records in the music world. Congratulations to producers Shobu and Prasad of ARKA Productions, Devineni garu, Rajamouli garu, Prabhas, Rana, Raghavendra Rao, Satyaraj and Nasser and to the entire team.”
Speaking at the function, AMD head Rajabali said, “For the first time in India, we are live streaming the ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’ pre-release event using virtual reality technology. We have created 2 lakh crores pixels for ‘Baahubali 2’. We have no such technology two years back. For the first time, photo realistic VR has been created for this film. This will be unveiled in the first week of May. SS Rajamouli needs no special introduction. Keeravani gari is music genius. No other music composer has the knowledge on sound emotion than him. Congratulations to Shobu and Prasad garu.”
Writer Vijayendra Prasad shared his experience saying, “I would like to share few things on this stage. Five years back, Rajamouli came to me and asked me to ready a script for Prabhas. He put some conditions that the story comprises fights, emotions, fascinating stories of kings and powerful lady characters. After 3 days, when I revealed Kattappa’s character, I observed his face lit up with glee. Later I revealed the scene in which a mother who dies saving toddler son holding him above water until rescue. About four months was spent on to ready total script. There are two persons behind the fruit of this 5 years of hard work. One is Prabhas, who spend the last five years on this one project. He might has earned crores of rupees if he would have signed other projects. My special thanks to him for his dedication and love. The second person is Rajamouli. He motivated everyone in the team that they are going to bring out a visual extravaganza. Such a most extravagant project needs excellent producers. Not just 50 0r 100, Shobu garu and Devineni garu have invested huge amounts nearly 200 crores without compromising. I have never seen any tension or anxiety on their eyes, I just seen glee. Producers are the real heroes for ’Baahubali 2’. Film industry is looking for such kind of producers. I wholeheartedly wish they will deliver many more great films in future and carve a special image for themselves in cinema history.”
Addressing the gathering, producer Shobu Yarlagadda said, “We didn’t expect a five years back that we will reach this position. ‘Baahubali’ stood like a national brand. ‘Baahubali’ is going to be released in a totally new range in a never before way. Many surprises like Baahubali books, comics and animations have impressed audience. Rajamouli garu is a supreme talented and hardworking person and didn’t give importance to money in his cine journey. These qualities of him have taken the film to the top range. Prabhas has spend the last five years on this one project. Rana has taken thefilm to the Bollywood range. Ramya Krishna, Sathyaraj, Nasser, Anushka and Tamannaah have given lot of support. We met Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar along with Rana and he has acquired the distribution rights of ‘Baahubali 2’. I am thankful to everyone who supported me.”
Speaking on the occasion, Bollywood filmmaker Karan Johar, who has acquired the distribution rights of ‘Baahubali 2’ said, “It’s my privilege that I have stood on the stage of Baahubali which is the great platform in the Indian cine industry. ‘Baahubali’ is a pride of Indian film industry. Mearly after 67 years, ‘Baahubali’ has given the same experience as of ‘Mughal-e-Azam’, a 1960 Indian epic historical drama. Rajamouli is a global filmmaker. Rajamouli is a great director who must join the list of great Hollywood directors like Spielberg, James Cameron and Christopher Nolan. Baahubali will not stop with ‘Baahubali 2: The Conclusion’. The film will stand out as an inspiration to many upcoming filmmakers. Shobu and Prasad have come forward with great guts like heroes to produce this extravagant project. The film has not just won the hearts of Telugu audience, but also won worldwide audience. Interesting thing is that ‘Baahubali’ event stood as the biggest event in Indian cine industry. Prabhas, Rana, Tamannaah and Anushka and each and everyone in the team have worked with dedication. I would like to introduce these artists to Bollywood actors to learn dedication from them. MM Keeravani expressed, “I am here on this stage today only because of the support of my godfather Raghavendra Rao garu and Krishnam Raju garu. It’s a privilege to be part of a film like ‘Baahubali’, a pride of Indian film industry. I wish Rajamouli will reach further top position. We really can’t wait to watch ‘Baahubali 2’ which reveals million dollars question why Kattappa killed Baahubali. Gemini, Jeevan and Dinesh have given lot of support in the music sessions.”
On this occasion, Anushka Shetti shared, “I am thankful to Rajamouli garu for choosing me to play a powerful character Devasena. I am thankful to Shobu garu, Prasad Devineni garu, Rama garu and Valli garu and to the entire team who supported me. The five years journey with Prabhas, Rana, Ramya Krishna and everyone in the team has developed a strong bond. Rajamouli garu’s family is very special to me. Rajamouli garu has motivated each and everyone in the team and raised confidence on them.”
Rana shared, “On April 28, the release of ‘Baahubali 2’ will be celebrated as a festival. Each and every moment which I spend for Baahubali will remain in my heart forever. Prabhas will be my favourite co-star in my career forever. On the other side, it is making me emotional that I am getting separated with Mahishmathi Kingdom. I am thankful to Rajamouli garu for presenting me in powerful role Ballaladeva. I would like to work with the entire cast and crew again and again. Get ready for a grand event on April 28. The star of the moment, SS Rajamouli said, “This stage is the fruit of five years hard work. It’s a team effort. There are hundreds of people in the team. I am thankful to Ramoji Rao garu, Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagavath garu, Hayathnagar police staff and police department for their support. My special thanks to Raghavendra Rao garu and Krishna Raju garu and to my direction team and to Shankar, Prem Rakshith, Pratheek, fight master Salmon, Krishna, Tammiraju, Makuta team, Sabu Cyril and Devika and to everyone who supported me a lot. Kalya anna has boosted my energy levels. Senthil has travelled along with me for five years. Kamal Kannan has taught me several things as a teacher regarding VFX. Thanks to costume designers Rama and Prashanthi. Karthikeya has directed several scenes in my second unit. I didn’t explain him how to make trailer, he himself has wonderfully cut the trailer of ‘Baahubali 2’. My big brother has not only given stupendous tunes to the film, but also made a wonderful song on the technicians at pre-release event. When I questioned myself that what I have given to Prabhas, the response, applause, whistles and claps that got for us during the trailer release in Mumbai has given me the answer. I felt very happy and proud as a commercial director.”
Hero Prabhas thanked the cast and crew who worked with him in ‘Baahubali’. He promised his fans that he will try to do at least two films a year.
Cinematographer KK Senthil, CG work Supervisor Kamala Kannan, Ramya Krishna, Nasser, Sathyaraj, Tamannaah, Rebel Star Krishnam Raju garu, K Raghavendra Rao garu and Prasad Devineni too spoke at the event and shared their experiences on the sets. They were awed at Shobu and Prasad’s courage to bankroll such a huge project. Everyone was impressed with Prabhas for spending the last five years on this one project.
