The teaser launch event of ‘9’, a ghost hunting film, starring Atul Kulkarni, Kabir Duhan Singh, Archana Shastri, Ashima Narwal, Sritha Chandana, Pavani Gangireddy and Purnima Maudgil in lead roles, was held on Friday i.e. on May 5 at Prasad Labs in Hyderabad. Aswani Kumar is the director. Shweta Singh is producing this psychological thriller under Ekaa Art Productions.
Speaking at the teaser launch event, producer Swetha Singh said, “I have two production houses. Ekaa Art Productions is one among those. ‘9’, an attempt with new concept, is the first film under this production house. The enthusiastic and passionate team is working for this psychological thriller. I was very much impressed by the script when Aswani Kumar and Sunil Kumar N approached me with the innovative script. We did pre-production work for 9 months for the film which was started in February 2016. We planned to wrap up shooting in 32 days, but it was completed in 27 days. Shooting took place in Madanapalli, Horseley Hills and Hyderabad surrounding. We are able to complete the film only with the support of artists and technicians in the team.”
Director V Ashwini Kumar said, “The story was readied in 2011 itself. We did even short film. We made lot of changes in these 5 years. Producers who listened to the script were very impressed that the script is innovative and suggested us to add some commercial elements. Swetha Singh garu has trusted our script and went ahead without making any changes. There are many elements in the film which revolves around the number ‘9’. You must watch the film to know the suspense. Team of ghost hunters visit a place haunted by ghosts. They investigate the location and collect the evidences of paranormal activity. ‘9’ film deals at every detailing in hunting the ghosts promising a new experience for horror lovers. The film came out wonderfully. I am thankful to Swetha garu, cast and crew of the film who supported me.”
Cinematographer Sunil Kumar and music director Sricharan pakala thanked the director and producers for having given them the opportunity to work for an innovative thriller. Ashima Narwal, Sritha Chandana, Pavani Gangireddy, Purnima Maudgil and Vimal Krishna and some others were present at the event.
