As the stage was set ablaze with the best performances and biggest stars of Southern Cinema, all eyes were on the coveted Black Lady. The largest Southern Cinema celebration, the 63rd Britannia Filmfare Awards South successfully put together a spell binding show, better and bigger than ever before. What made the gala evening worth remembering were the breathtaking performances which electrified the atmosphere and made everyone dance on its tunes.
Singer Chinmayi and her actor husband Rahul were the perfect emcees who managed to keep the audiences glued to their chairs and entertained them with their wit and spontaneity. The star studded night witnessed some dazzling performances by the southern divas likeRakulpreet Singh, Ami Jackson, Catherine Tresa, Pranita Subhash, Amulya, Rima Kalingal, Aparna Vinod and Haripriya (Shruthi C).
Gorgeous Rakulpreet grooved on the tunes of some popular Telugu numbers from her movies like Mega Mega and Le Chalo from Bruce Lee, Love Dhebba from Nannaku Prematho, Kukkuruku kukkuruku from Kick 2 and Edukondala Venkata from Rough. All eyes were on Amy Jackson when she began her performance with romantic Hindi number Hosanna from Ek Deewana Tha and added more flavors to it with Telugu songs Na Manasu Neelo from Nannaku Prematho, Mutta
Bujji from Gethu and later on performed on Tamil song Ranga Ranga from Theri. Catherine Tresa burnet the dance floor with her electrifying performance in Tamil song Naan Nee from her movie Madras and later moved to Telugu songs, this is the private party and Block Buster from Sarrainodu.
Pranita brought the house down with her killer moves in Telugu songs like Follow Follow from Nanuku Prematho, Raara Aatagadaa from Ok Bangaram, Door No from Oopiri and Khakee Chokka from Sardar Gabbar Singh. Actress Amulya rocked on Kannada songs Punyathgithi Ninge Esthu Boyfriends and Crazy Boys from Gajakesari, Bangaru and Hudagi from Maduveva Mamateya Kareyole. Aparna took the energy to a whole new level with her picture perfect dance moves on peppy Malayalam numbers like Thudakkam Mangalyam from Bangalore Days, Appangal Embadum from Usthad Hotel, Cham Cham Chamak from Mallu Singh, Hementhan from Kohinoor and Johnny Mone Johnny from ABCD. Haripriya showcased her picture perfect moves with Kannada songs Chanana Chanana from Ugramm, Jagadodharana from Ranna, Kaal kg Kallekai and Baare Kunthkole from Bulletbassya. The Malayalam beauty Rima Kallingal performed on Malayalam songs like Idukki from Maheshinte Parthikaram, Raav Maayave from Vettha, Sundaripenne from Charlie and Mukkathe Penne from Ennu Ninte Moideen.
An amalgamation of fun and entertainment, audiences also saw an honest appreciation and admiration for good cinema across Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu and Kannada by the entire southern fraternity.
