fastfilmz - an app that is a 100% dedicated to regional movies, now has over 70 Telugu titles including Gopala Gopala,
Drushyam and Kick 2 to name a few, marking its entry to the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh markets. The company is redefining movie watching for India’s film-crazy fans, powered by the world’s fastest video compression technology:
V- Nova Limited’s PERSEUS™ Technology. The app offers unlimited downloads at affordable data costs as low as Rs 30 a month i.e. Re. 1 a day! Within two months of its launch, the fastfilmz app is now one of the top-rated movie- watching apps on Google Play.
fastfilmz subscribers can share full movie downloads between each other in under 1min and using ZERO data. The newly patented technology uses an encryption key to prevent piracy.
fastfilmz is co-founded by Harvard and Kellogg alumni and previous employees of McKinsey & Company in the UK - Dominic Charles and Karam Malhotra - co-CEOs and co-Founders, fastfilmz. The company has been funded by multiple angel investors from the USA and Europe.
The fastfilmz app is designed for the common man in India who loves regional cinema but cannot afford high data charges, an expensive smartphone or even movie tickets on a regular basis. On the other hand, the subscription cost for this app starts at Rs 10 per week and only Rs. 30 per month. The payment model has been simplified by the company to appeal to the end-consumer, where the amount will be deducted from the talk-time and does not involve the hassle of having to pay by a debit/credit card or even a mobile wallet.
fastfilmz has exclusively partnered with V-Nova for its PERSEUS™ Technology - the world’s fastest video compression technology. V-Nova Limited is a London-headquartered software company providing advanced video compression technology and software solutions. By uniquely enabling SD quality video distribution at sub-audio bit- rates (i.e., < 128 kbps), V-Nova PERSEUS allows fastfilmz to provide quality video streaming over the 2G networks that 70% of India’s consumers use for Internet access.
“We are very excited about our new offerings for the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh markets. While conducting our market study, we noticed that the regional movie consumption is as large as Bollywood. However, not all regional movie consumers have access to fast networks and affordable data to watch movies on their smartphones. This is where fastfilmz makes the movie-watching experience a lot more accessible and affordable”, say Karam Malhotra ft Dominic Charles, Co-CEOs and Co-Founders, fastfilmz.
The content on the fastfilmz app will be refreshed on a weekly basis; two of the famous Telugu hits, Bengal Tiger and 1-Nenokkadine, will be up on the app very soon.
