Hyderabad, 14th October 2016: Kiranmayee Madupu, a well-known Bharathnatyam danseuse trained under the tutelage of renowned Bharathnatyam exponent, Guru Hemamalini Arni, will present the traditional “margam” repertoire of Bharathnatyam at Saptaparni in Banjara Hills on 14th October, 2016. Dr. Daggubati Purandeshwari will be the Chief Guest for the event.
Kiranmayee, a resident of Hyderabad, performs widely as a solo artiste at reputed venues across the nation and internationally. She performed for SPICMACAY, at Mumbai’s NCPA and at the prestigious Nehru Centre in London among others. Recently, she had conducted workshops for underprivileged students in rural Rajasthan organized by SPICMACAY to sensitize them about Bharathnatyam and teach them the under laying life lessons in the art form. For her dedication to the art form, she is conferred with titles ‘Nritya Mayura’, ‘Nritya Mani’, ‘Nritya Vilasini’ etc. by reputed cultural organizations in the country.
