Continental Hospitals Organizes Women's Cykulothon for International Womens Day 2017
Hyderabad, 5th March 2017: To celebrate International Women's Day, Continental Hospitals in association with Cykul organized a Women's Cykulothon on International Women's Day on Sunday, 5th March 2017.
The event took place on a crisp Sunday morning and was attended by over 400 women cycling enthusiasts who gathered by 6am to beat the 25km route. The cyclists were flagged off from Continental Hospitals and rode through ISB Rotary, Vattinagullaplly Road, KolJur Village and rode back towards the hospital. At each of the four pit stops, riders were given refreshments, goodie bags, certificates and clicked selfish with the 'Be Bold for Change' picture frames.
Numerous medical professionals were enthusiastic participants in the cykuothon, with over 50 doctors showing up in their active wear. While it took the amateurs at least an hour to complete the circuit, the professional cyclists did it in a matter of 40 minutes.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Harish Manian, COO, Continental Hospitals said," Every woman in our society plays an integral part, whether it is at home or at a work place. This year's theme- Be Bold for Change- encourages us to take actions that accelerate gender parity through purposeful collaboration. The aim of this initiative was to applaud the strength and spirit of the women in our society, and to remind them to take good care of their own health. All the participants received special discount coupons on health checks, which included doctor consultants and tests.
