Adurthi Subba Rao Book Launch

H Ramesh Babu wrote a book on renowned director Adurthi Subba Rao. The book was launched on Monday in Hyderabad grandly. Dr K Vishwanath released the book and presented the first copy of it to super star Mahesh Babu. Senior actor Krishna honored the picture of Adurthi Subba Rao with a garland. Vijaya Nirmala, Namratha, Krishna’s daughter Manjula, Adurthi Sai Bhaskar also participated in the event. Adurthi Subba Rao is well known to all Telugu movie lovers through his directorial ventures like ‘Thodi Kodallu’, ‘Mangalya Balam’, ‘Nammina Bantu’, ‘Sudigundaalu’, ‘Mooga Manasulu’, ‘Dr Chakravarthy’, ‘Velugu Needalu’, ‘Thodu Needa’, ‘Poola Rangadu’ and ‘Mayadaari Malligaadu’.

Dr K Vishwanath said, “I’m very happy to be part of the book launch of Adurthi garu. I’m also happy to see this event in a place as good as his heart. Adurthi garu used to treat me like his own son. I whole-heartedly appreciate Krishna garu for organizing this book launch event with a big heart even though he has grown into a star. He even gave me an opportunity to do few scenes in ‘Moogamanasulu’. It made me happy when he shared that he has copied few shots from the ilm ‘Undamma Bottu Pedatha’ for a Hindi film. He is very famous for picturising songs in those days. He is the man with good sense of humor. He was a trustworthy man. He is my mentor, my God, my Guru and he is my everything. He is also a good dialogue writer. I could see all his traits in Satyanand. He is a very good humanbeing. This cover page tells that there is lot of valuable content inside the book.”

Krishna said, “At the time Adurthi garu reached the status of top director, he announced a movie with new artists. So when I sent my photo, he responded to it and sent a message to meet him. When I went and met him, he said he would inform me after a month. As told by him I was called to his office Babu Movies after a month and was told that I was booked as a hero. I did four films in his combination. ‘Mayadaari Malligadu’ is an unforgettable movie among all.”

Vijaya Nirmala said, “It was Adurthi garu who encouraged Krishna garu. I appreciate Krishna garu for showing his affection on him in the form of book launch. K Vishwanath garu worked under Adurthi garu and became a great director. I acted in the film ‘Poola Rangadu’. Adurthi garu sounded the clap board to a Malayalam film which was under my direction. It was only with his blessings that I was able to do 45 films. H Ramesh Babu gathered all information and carved this book with wonderful articles.”

H Ramesh Babu said, “I published several books on film industry. Sai Bhaskar, who belongs to Adurthi’s family gave me several photos and encouraged me when I started writing this book. In this book I’ve saved all the information about Adurthi garu that I gathered for 20 years. One fine day when I met Krishna garu for an interview, he told me to complete the script work and that he would take care of the printing. “I would not have existed without Adurthi garu. I wanted to thank him atleast in the form of this book,” Krishna garu said. Both Krishna garu and Vijaya Nirmala garu supported me by printing this book. My sincere thanks to all.”
