Genuine Broaster Chicken, Hyderabad plays host to book promotion of "A Tall Order" by Kapil Pathare
Hyderabad, May 23, 2017: Genuine Broaster Chicken Hyderabad, the brainchild of Karan Tanna, CEO of Yellow Tie Hospitality, today further strengthened its bond with cricket and reading by playing host to the book promotion of "A Tall Order" by Kapil Pathare.
The book written by entrepreneur-cum-author Kapil Pathare, a cricket enthusiast, has picked ten best Indian cricketers and offers insight into the career of each one of them. The 10 legends to feature in this fascinating tribute are Sachin Tendulkar, Virender Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, WS Laxman, Yuvraj Singh, MS Dhoni, Anil Kumble, Harbhajan Singh and Zaheer Khan. The book, published by Popular Prakashan, has a foreword by the great Sri Lankan opener Sanath Jayasuriya.
Talking about his book, Kapil Pathare said "The book is about a galaxy of stars of Indian crick who descended on the cricket field at almost the same time and left us everlasting memories. Each of the men featured in the book have bought laurels to the country in a unique way. The book is all about the tribute to these 10 men who were unarguably the demi-gods of Indian cricket."
With the Women's World Cup in June, Mithali Raj has an important month ahead of her. Captain of the team, she will hope to win India their first World Cup. She may be feeling the nerves, but she was at her calm and composed best on Tuesday. "It's nice to know that people are aware of there being two teams in England in June. We had a good tournament in South Africa and will look to carry forward the momentum next month. It's very easy to lose focus but we must put our best foot forward. Having just completed 100 ODIs with the team, the women's cricket team is certainly going places.
Former Indian spinner, Venkatapathy Raju, our second chief guest, had a lot to recollect and narrate about his time with these veterans from his career spanning a decade. "I consider myself privileged to have played alongside the legends mentioned in 'A Tall Order'. Each one of them deserves to be mentioned so that budding cricketers and future generations can seek inspiration from this elusive list. There's so much to learn just by sharing the same dressing room as them and I hope this book serves that purpose to anyone who loves the game of cricket."
Playing host to the event was the mother-son pair of Vandana and Karan Shete. Mithali is no less than a role model for women's cricket in the country and Vandana, the owner of the franchise in Hyderabad reiterated the fact of giving girls the same platform as their counterparts.
"Being a woman, I always encourage people to give importance to women's cricket. I want to give it equal weightage to the Indian cricket team. Venkatapathy Raju was a renowned spinner who represented the country in the 1992 and 1996 World Cups. Having him is truly an honour for us at Genuine Broaster Chicken. This event is the coming together of both C's — Cricket and Chicken. Chicken, for the budding cricketer is a very important part of their diet because of the high protein content. The chicken we serve across all outlets contains 50% less oil so it's considered to be a very healthy source of diet"
Cricket sure seems to be the flavor in May and June. We recently saw the Indian Premier League conclude and we now shift focus to two tournaments where India will hope to emerge triumphs on the world stage. When it comes to food, there is nothing better than chicken when it comes to giving foodies the flavor that they seek. Chicken and Cricket make for a great combination and Genuine Broaster Chicken, Hyderabad gives fans just what the/re looking for — the experience of watching the gentleman's game and also the ultimate eating experience that brings them back time and time again.
