Hyderabad, 6th June 2017: It is the coming together of two likeminded individuals, whose common goal is to make lives of distraught and anguished young children meaningful and bring smiles on their faces by securing their future.
Kavita Jain and Dr Samita Pandya take delight in announcing the launch of New Steps Foundation in the heart of the twin cities.
As an NGO that cares, it will come as Godsend gift for hundreds of children from underprivileged families and those belonging to the lower strata. We understand their plight as they all are deprived of a quality childhood because of economic compulsions.
We have floated the Foundation as an emotionally-driven societal responsibility that we will fulfill with all due diligence.
A nod for our credentials and sincerity in approach comes from actors Rajesh Khattar and Vandana Sanjanani Khattar, who have willingly agreed to come on board as brand ambassadors of the NGO.
New Steps Foundation has formally taken-off on June 6 (Tuesday) with its inauguration by State Animal Husbandry Minister, Shri T Srinivas Yadav Garu, who was kind enough to grace the occasion and open it to the world at 8.30am in the premises of Audiah Government High School (formerly Botny School) at Ranigunj, which has been adopted by the Foundation to mark its beginning.
We remain indebted to Ramgopalpet Division Corporator Aruna Goud Madam and Deputy Inspector of Schools Madam Kasturi for taking time-off to be present on the momentous occasion, said an overwhelmed Dr Samita Pandya, speaking at the inauguration.
The Foundation will strive to provide the best of facilities and orientation by way of counselling by qualified personnel to young hopefuls, in order that their dreams will take concrete shape. Given the proven importance of education and how it can help translate one’s aspirations, the Foundation will specifically focus on this important factor.
In his word of appreciation, the Minister hoped that the core promoters and team members of the Foundation will grow into a larger entity and reach out to deprived sections in all adjoining regions.
Highlighting about their vision, co-founder Kavita Jain, stated that ‘New Steps Foundation has chalked out a scientifically and socially evolved blueprint to take forward our mission at Audiah Govt High School.
Our aim is to provide:
1. Distributing stationery material and school uniforms
2. Determine the potential in each kid, tap the latent talent and guide the individual on to the right path
3. Provide extra-curricular activities and train girls in self-defence techniques
4. Ensure appropriate nutrition and balanced diet
5. Regular medical check-ups of each child
6. Counselling by experts
7. Sports for overall personality development
8. Put in place proper infrastructure so that Audiah Govt High School will cease to look as one more neglected underprivileged school
9. Building a playground
10. Proper toiletries, particularly for the girl-child.
In short, it will have all those features and facilities that make for a good high-end school. It will be transformed into an institution that the parents would want to send their children for their educational pursuits’, assured Ms.Jain.
This will be our quest to build a Future India where in every child will feel equal to his/her peer, irrespective of one’s status and family backgrounds, Dr Samita Pandya and Kavita Jain said, while assuring that they had the backing of a dedicated team to accomplish the task.
