Child Relief and We & Suchirindia organized for the first time Night Walkthon in Hyderabad (a walk against sexual violence towards women & children). The event was flagged off by the Chief Guest Sunkara Satyanaryana (RTD Additional DCP) and Lion Dr. Y. Kiron (Suchirindia Group CEO)
Sexual Violence (Rape) against women & Girl Child is perhaps the most appalling human rights violation, and it is perhaps the most pervasive. It knows no boundaries of geography, culture or wealth. Rape is not just a women’s issue. It’s about the men who stop behaving like human beings and start behaving like animals. Most of these are happening because of less police females, not enough police in general, blaming provocative clothing, acceptance of domestic violence, a lack of public safety, stigmatizing the victim, encouraging rape victims to compromise, a sluggish court system, few convictions like eve teasing etc and low status of women in India. Now a days many younger girl children are also becoming the victims of this. As long as this continues, we cannot claim to be making real progress towards equality, development and peace in our country.
To create an awareness in our society on these issues Child Relief And We from Bangalore has been organized for the first time Night Walkathon in Hyderabad city with the Association of AJ Aventures, Suchirindia. In this program almost 500 members gathered at necklace road Peoples Plaza and supported for the cause. Hereby everyone demanded Central & State Govt’s to develop new policies in our Legal system and implement to give a full stop for these issues in India.
