Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited (A State Govt. Undertaking) was setup in the year 2015 under Companies Act, 2013 with an objective of Promotion, Development and Marketing of Artistic Handicrafts and Textiles and welfare of about more than One Lakh crafts persons working in different craft pockets spread all over Telangana State.
As a part of Marketing Support to the artisans of the State, the Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited would be organizing number of marketing events such as Craft Bazaars, Gandhi Shilp Bazaars, Exhibitions etc within and outside the State to provide direct Marketing support by inviting craft persons from all over the State for display-cum-sale of their products. “Golkonda Handlooms - Handicrafts Exhibition” which is being organized on the occasion of “Aashada Masam” at TTD Kalyana Mandapam, Liberty X Road, Himayath Nagar, Hyderabad from 16th July, 2018 to 24th July, 2018 jointly by Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation and NABARD, Regional Office, Hyderabad by inviting craft persons from all over India. The main objective of organizing the present Golkonda Handlooms - Handicrafts Exhibition is to popularize the crafts and textiles of Telangana State and other regions among the art lovers / public of Hyderabad and create platform for artisans to sell their products among public as well as develop market linkages with Public / Private emporia for future supplies.
Around 60 artisans / weavers are expected to participate in the Golkonda Handlooms - Handicrafts Exhibition from all over the country. Sri Bollam Sampath Kumar Gupta, Hon’ble Chairman, TSHDC Ltd. and Smt. Shailaja Ramaiyer, IAS, Managing Director, TSHDC Ltd. will inaugurate this Exhibition on 16.07.2018.
