Hyderabad, July 29th 2018: A short film directed by prominent sports medicine doctor Prof. Major. Dr S Bakhtiar Choudhary(Retd.),was screened to sensitise youth against the latest fad of late marriages and highlight themental, physical and societal ill-effects of such decision, on Sunday at the Film chamber of Commerce.
Prominent Tollywood personalities Sri T Chalapathi Rao and Smt Delhi Rajeswari unveiled the film. They appreciated Dr Choudhary for his initiative to highlight a social malady which crept into and impacting our society badly. This behaviour they said can severely harm the generations to come, putting our community to peril.
Why should youth get married in time?
It is disheartening to see that youth is not getting married in time. Modern generation believes that career, job, salary, property are more important than getting married. Marriage is a definite biological need of human race. Human body has different phases of life; childhood, adolescence, adulthood, middle age and Aging. Hormones and body chemistry have a significant role in maintaining health. But some fear marriage as a burden and unnecessary responsibility.
Young girls attain menarche between 12-16 years of age, biologically best time to marry is between 18-24 years (girls) & 24 – 28 Years (boys). Child birth during this period is considered very healthy for baby and the mother. Disturbing these biological mile stones may result in many disorders like Obesity, PCOD, Hormonal imbalance, abnormal fibroids, pre-mature aging and social problems. We find women who delayed their marriages, have more gynecological issues and need more serious medical management. Children born at late age leads to worrying in old age.
Spinsters, Bachelors and other singles are increasing due to late & unplanned marriages; this disturbs the demography. Good Planning leads to good career, marriage, happy family and peaceful society. Younger minds adjust better and have good quality life. Parents are also responsible for training these young minds. Please do not post-pone marriages because of horoscopes, religion, cast creed and property. Marriage is humane social bond. Get your children married in right age and have happy families & Happy Nation.
The film titled Marital Trials, deals on the scientific premises of why one should get married on time and what is the appropriate age to do so. It draws its inspiration from the serious and concerning issue of today’s youngsters choosing to marry quite late. Using the analogy based on six engaging stories, the film talks about various perils of marrying late, the generation gap that this leads to and other side effects. The deliberations between prominent doctors from the city will hopefully lead to a more conscious and concentrated effort by youngsters to get married at the appropriate age.
Dr. Bakhtiar Choudhary has written and directed this film. All the participants are essentially not trained actors; these twenty plus enthusiasts have done their best to depict their roles. DrChoudhary has not only been a renowned doctor but has been a major force and instrument of change in creating a greater social impact. He has several firsts (Studies on School children, House wives, IT professionals and Noise pollution) to his name including working and successfully formulating a biodegradable method to eradicate E-waste among others. He has created more than 200 videos and 1000 articles on various issues free for public.
