Chiranjeevi gets emotional at Telugu cine writers association 25 years celebrations
Megastar Chiranjeevi, Mohan Babu, K Raghavendra Rao are among others who attended Telugu cine writers association 25 years celebrations. Chiranjeevi felicitated writers Aadhi Vishnu, Raavi Kondala Rao, Satyanand and Bhuvanachandra with life achievement awards.
Chiranjeevi said, "I'm very happy to have attended this event. After directors and producers, I maintain a very close relationship with writers and respect them a lot. Paruchuri Brothers and Satyanand know that well. We are nothing without writers. Recently, when we attended Deepavali celebrations at Mohan Babu's residence, Raghavendra Rao made writer Satyanand sit on a silver throne. I thought it was a right gesture and a writer completely deserves that honour. Paruchuri Brothers are like family to me. Aakella, who wrote for my 'Magamaharaju', is here. I thank all of them".
"I would have been disappointed had I been not invited for this event. I will cherish these moments forever. It's a great opportunity for me to honour such talented people. They have contributed a lot for the growth of Telugu film industry. I am not very close to Aadhi Vishnu garu. But he had a great association with Jandhyala garu and did wonders as a playwright. Raavi Kondala Rao garu is a multi-faceted writer. He was very close to Bapu-Ramana. Kodandaramireddy and I share a great rapport. We worked together for 25 films and more than a director, he is like a friend and well-wisher to me. He is very pure-hearted and respects everyone's opinions. He is an expert at bringing out good music. The songs in our combination were big hits. Bhuvana Chandra is a military man. He was introduced by Vijaya Bapineedu garu with 'Khaidi No.786'. I didn't expect he would excel at a time when Aarudhra and Aathreya were there. But he defied my expectations and he shot words like bullets on battlefield. His three songs were remixed for this generation. "Guvva Gorinka', 'Bangaru Kodi Petta', 'Vaana Vaana Vellu vaaye' are testimony to that. Through this event I got the opportunity to felicitate them. We miss Singeetham Srinivasa Rao and K.Viswanath's presence at this event. It would have been an honour if they are present here. They have been in the industry since 'Mayabazar' days. I request the opportunity to felicitate those legends in future events", Chiranjeevi added.
K Raghavendra Rao remembered his association with writers and said that future directors will have a tough time as many writers are turning directors and they will have to depend on new writers.
Dr.Mohan Babu said, "I started as an apprentice at MM Bhatt. I got acquainted with Sri Sri there. Then after I got close to Aarudhra garu. Aarudhra gave many silver jubilee films. But no producer was there with him on his last day. I chased Satyanand to give me a role. I'm really fortunate to felicitate him. I am in this position only because of a father figure like Dasari Narayana Rao and K Raghavendra Rao. Satyanand wrote wonderful dialogues for movies from our Lakshmi Prasanna Pictures banner. Paruchuri Brothers gave great films. 'Assembly Rowdy' ran for 25 weeks and every dialogue got claps. Satyamurthy also wrote for many films. There are many better looking and better actors than us. But Kalaammathalli has given opportunity to us. We should be grateful. We need the blessings of writers".
