The luxurious, 7-seater minivan comes with two electric motors and a hybrid battery for emissions control. On Wednesday, Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) launched the Vellfire, India’s new luxury self-charging multi-purpose hybrid electric vehicle.
Over 6,00,000 units have already been sold worldwide by the company, and Vellfire is in the CBU format at the cost of 79.5 lakh for ex-showroom. Due to being a strong hybrid vehicle, Vellfire provides a powerful driving experience while ensuring low fuel consumption and carbon footprint.
Researches have shown that powerful hybrid vehicles with the Engine off can run 40 percent of the distance at 60 percent of the time on electrical or zero-emission mode. The 2,5-liter 4-cylinder gasoline hybrid engine produces an output of 86 kW (115 BHP). The Engine is combined with two electric motors and one hybrid battery that controls emissions while offering a comfortable driving experience.
Vellfire’s Spacious Interior:
The Vellfire’s spacious interior ensures one of the lounge-class journeys. A new suspension has been taken for the back, in addition to the high body rigidity, to achieve a luxurious ride while maintaining stability. Under standard test conditions, the hybrid engine synergy leads to a mileage of 16.35 km / l.
The Vellfire works seamlessly with premium 17-speaker JBL audio, Ottoman-function power-adjustable seats, super long seat sliding function, and 16-color ambient light.
The Vice-Chairman Vikram Kirloskar of Toyota Kirloskar Motor said, “India’s automotive industry is undergoing a deep technology-driven transformation with innovation and creativity that define the overall customer experience.
As leaders of the industry, we must challenge ourselves and provide new advances to our customers that not only promise magnificence and comfort but also make a contribution to the environment’s well-being.
Masakazu Yoshimura, managing director of the company, said, “Globally, we have a truck of luxury products, and the launch of Toyota Vellfire in India marks a pivotal moment on our road trip. The latest announcement is an essential step toward achieving zero CO2 risks in our mid-to-long-term plan.
Senior Vice-President Naveen Soni said, “The Toyota Vellfire provides a perfect combination of outstanding elegance and convenience while offering impressive fuel efficiency with its self-charging hybrid electric technology.” Soni stated that the Vellfire seems to be well with the 2050 Toyota Environmental Challenge, which prompts us to move towards a world where people, cars, and nature can intermingle in harmony.
The feedback from customers was positive, and the first 3 months of deliveries of 180 CBU units imported have all been sold out so far.
