Southscope Awards 2010 Curtain Raiser

The Southscope Awards Curtain Raiser programme was held at Hotel Novotel in Hyderabad on September 18th. This programme was attended by Indian Idol 5 Sreeram Chandra, Prasad Murthy, Mamta Mohandas, Kannada actor Yash, Ragini Dwivedi, Local Channel Print Media C E O Rajendra Prasad, etc. The Southscope Trophy was unveiled by Mamta Mohandas.

Later addressing the media Prasad Murthy said, “We believe that the first Southscope awards will bring the entire south film industry together on one stage. Yester year actress Sridevi is also going to grace the occasion. This awards function will showcase the dance performances of south Indian actresses like Mamta Mohandas, Reema Sen, Charmi, Ragini Dwivedi, etc. This is also going to be the 1st musical show for Sreeram Chandra in Hyderabad after he became the Indian Idol 5.”

Sreeram Chandra said, “I thank the media for their efforts of making me win the title Indian Idol 5. I’m eagerly waiting for tomorrow.”

Mamta Mohandas said, “I’m going to give a stage performance after almost a gap of 2 years. I’m very excited about that. This is the biggest step being taken by Southscope Magazine. I consider this as the great platform to interact with global fans and media.”

“I belong to Kannada film industry. I’m going to give my dance performance on Telugu and Tamil songs. I consider myself lucky to participate in one such big event”, said the Kannada actor Yash.

“I belong to Malayalam film industry. I did ‘Shankar IPS’ with Vijay as my co-star. Right now I’m doing yet another film. I’m very lucky to participate in this event where the entire south Indian film fraternity is going to gather”, expressed Katrin.

Actress Ragini said, “I acted in Tamil and Malayalam films besides acting in the remake of ‘Vikramarkudu’ in Kannada. I’m happy to be a part of this event.”
